It just stopped. I guess I thought this was a novel not a short story. So u have to buy the next book? But I will not and have that book come to a screeching halt and more or less forced to buy the next one. Love the Scorpion books but I won't touch this series again. So disappointed

Frustrating and an Annoyance to be a Multi-book Series

Publishing this as a five part series is, well to be honest, a rip-off. You end up paying a premium price for an author who has not been a top tier author and whose previous kindle offerings were less expensive and worth the price. It is very frustrating to finish one book and find you need to order another and another and another to finish the story.

It detracts from the story and is not fair to the author or the reader...but it does make the publisher more money from those of us who appreciate Gilstraps storytelling abilities. I will NOT buy another book that is artificially truncated just to make more money for the publisher, regardless of who the author is...

I would not recommend this book to anyone. Just when the book got interesting it ended with the info. concerning having to purchase another book in order to continue the story. A real ripoff.

Gilstrap learns to write a novel with this waste of time. More like a chapter book. Which is really what it is, because after a few choice a others the book ends with a "but the next book to find out what happens." Stay away from these "Time to Run" noveletts.

I came across this by chance. I don't usually read this genre. That being said I found it a thoroughly captivating read. I bought into the main character straight away. I loved the turn of phrase and the quality of writing made it a smooth, easy read. I found I'd read the whole thing, avidly turning each virtual page, eager to find out what was going to happen next. I'm ordering part 2 with a real sense of anticipation.
