And unforgiveness: 1. is …”just as sinful as … cruel words” 2. “…is just as repulsive to Me (God) as spiders…” are to some.
One of my favorite quotes from this book is: “Why will you work so hard to kill a spider & ignore the worse things crawling around in your
life?” Phew!! Other themes in this book are self-worth & self-confidence, and God’s unconditional, excessive love, even in the midst of tragedy or hardship. Another one of my favorite quotes in this book is: “Tragedies are never the end – they’re just the starting point for glorious things to come.” This book leaves you with the comfort that God “doesn’t stand distant & aloof when we are in need,” but “enters into the filth & trauma of our pain.” The suspense, mystery, romance, and even humor are wonderfully woven around these themes, making the book wonderfully captivating!
“Time Trap” is book two in the Time Counselor Chronicles and even more intriguing then book 1. Each one just gets better and better.
In “Time Trap” we find a Temco cadet team back on the mission field taking a final exam when things turn a bit unexpected. Director Peter Matthews and Dr. Laura Nelson must go find what has happened to their cadets, all the while keeping their rescue from the founder. This book is full of action and intrigue and will leave you wanting more. It gives some very sound advise we should all heed but you do not feel preached at.
Miss Danele Rotharmel You have done a superb job. Now please hurry with book 3. I must know more.
I give this book five stars of intrigue.
Once again we visit TEMCO Labs and the time counselors. Dan and Gil arrive back through the blue glow with their new son. The baby’s delivery causes Gil’s old injuries to flair, and she and Dan remain at the hospital while the other employees keep it from them that something is dreadfully wrong at the lab.
Again I’m impressed with the writing craft displayed in this series of books and wildly impressed with Ms. Rotharmel’s talent. Can’t wait for number three!
Ms. Rotharmel might have a grasp of physics that exceeds the reach of many readers, and possibly expects us to suspend disbelief on occasion. But she tells an engaging, fast-paced story with skill and verve and passion for justice and hope and faith.
I won’t even begin to explain the storyline. It moves quickly and weaves in and out through the perspectives of various characters. The author isn’t afraid to confront the reality of evil in all its ugliness. She isn’t afraid to deliver sentimental and sweet romance. And she doesn’t shrink at all from expressing a solid Christian worldview.
“Time Trap” may be categorized as science fiction but if that isn’t your genre, don’t worry. It has plenty of action, adventure, suspense and romance. Something for almost everyone. I am looking forward to the next book in the series!
