Timecop stands the test of time (sorry, kinda intended). Surprisingly well-made film with very believable performances by most of the cast (standouts being JCVD, the actor playing JC's superior, and Silver the villain). Special praise for the performance of Senator Mccomb by Ron Silver who plays a greedy, sociopathic, egotistical, self-serving, presidential hopeful without a shred of moral dignity. Sound familiar? Wondering if our current POTUS had access to a time machine.. certainly wish I could have the current and younger selves occupy the same space.

Probably the biggest sleeper of all time. Was great back then and it is also today, out of orbit acting by the Villian, in fact he is so good.. makes you wonder if he is acting, nobody can be 'this' convincing, an giant performance out of Silver, Matusak the police chief is also awesome, best lines ever from beginning to end of movie, specially the first half, like silver 'classic one liners'. Directing is great, flows well, not one scene is more or less then it should be, but for a few tweaks in the story I would not change a thing. This was the movie that was supposed to catapult Van Damme to super star dome and A list like Cruise, but..... Van Damme did a direct, mile long, deep, dive into hard drugs... strung out for the next decade by the time he sobered up his time had passed. Truly a shame, makes you wonder what movies he would have been part of and given us if he had not self destructed. Anyway, at least with this movie you can see the trajectory he was in,...ah, what could have been. Enjoy. 5 well deserved stars from me!!!! PS love the opening scene!

Great movie. I love time travel plots and this one was good. I saw it on the date it's supposed to be in the movie so yeah, I'm old. Like the tech wearing a headset and watching a lap dance. Its amazing, that this type of thing is now a reality whereas in the 90's it wasn't even a glint in anyone's eye...uh, mind. Not that I've done this...Loved the romance and how his wife finds out about her fate and gets a chance to change it. The boss behind the time travel unit is funny. I miss Joel Silver. Even when he played the bad guy he was good.

One of the classic SciFi films of all times. The hero gets mixed up in a political conspiracy to take the Presidential office by any means at the villans disposal ... and time travel is his preferred tool. Working against the clock, van Dam must prevail before his nemesis, or be erased from existence. As expected, good triumphs over evil or ... not. Action packed, suspenseful​, and superb Hollywood effect make this a film worth watching again and again.

Classic JCVD plus Sci-Fi drama. Entertaining while at the same time being laughable. The henchmen are the funniest parts of this movie. That hair though... Classic 80's to 90's style.

If you're looking for an excellent sci-fi movie this is not it. If you are looking to watch a good JCVD drama it's worth your time. This movie could stand for a remake here in the 21st century.

i recommend his movies . he is the best to me. I am from the 80's and i will always love his movies...when i was young i got into martial arts because of him. i used to rise my sleeves like him, wear my jeans high on the waist just like his. i even did some other things just like him and practice the split kick a lot. im im 40 years old i still follow him.

Mia Sara & Jean Claude before they got old. Two nice looking people in a story going back and forth in time. Does it get any better than that? Ya, they don't need a "Time Tunnel" to do it! Nice little action flick with a happy ending.

If you want to watch a classic sci-fi movie with suspense, action, and a story, you can't go wrong with this one. Van Damme is his younger, more flexible self, and a stubborn cop who seeks retributive justice for the death of his wife through the use of a time machine.
