I recommend reading a Time Wars story and then reading the literature it is (loosely) based on, in this case "The Three Musketeers" by Dumas. You might also read "A Tale of Two Cities" by Dickens. I've found this to be a good way to ease yourself into (or back into) some literature everyone really should ready but is sometimes not very approachable.
They are briefed on a radical faction called the Time keepers. They belief that time travel is wrong and that the past should be the past and the wars being conducted should end. The TIA has no clue as to what the intend the only thing they do know it has something to do in 15th century France. All the TIA could come up with is that The Time Keepers intend to either Kill Cardianl Rechlou the most powerful man in France or something to do with a young man named D'artanian entering France to join the Muskeeters. Either way Preist and Finn have no idea what they are getting themselves into let alone who they are up against are sent to meet the only contact they have been give the TIA agent known as "Monngoose".
Meanwhile in France as well Andre De LaCroix has been brought along with the former Colonel turned runaway in the Flagg. He has deicded to help her and show her the timestreams themsevles. IN doing so he has brought her to 15th century France to the only underground surgeon who can grant her the chip needed to understand the new world she has just been intorduced to. However neither of them know that the Timekeepers have gotten to the surgeon first.
The Timekeepers meanwhile have already taken an important person the Milady Dewinter as she has been held hostage and interogated by a man the Timekeepers use for the most dangerous of missions. What none of the parties know is that he is Mongoose rival and delights in the game of cat and mouse. And this time he intend s to take the mantle of Milday Dewinter and cause time to change.
Will Priest and Finn figure out the plan before it is too late? Will Mongoose find his rival and stop the Timekeepers or will France and history itself be changed forever.
Be forewarned tho. The copies I recieved had over a hundred typographical errors which seriously impede reading the story. I have written to the Publisher (Pulpless.com) and hope they will make needed corrections before book 3 comes out and hopefully rerelease books 1 and 2
