Book #5 in the Lark Cove series, I was so excited to be back in this world! This is a shorter read, a gorgeous story for Aubrey (sister of Logan, hero of book #1, Tattered).

Aubrey is a busy and successful career woman, having taken over her family’s business empire, she works hard and is completely dedicated to continuing to build the family legacy. The area where she struggles in life, is with men. They don’t understand her commitment to her job, or they want her for her money, or the connection that comes with her family name. She’s just had her heart broken once again when Landon McLellan comes strolling into her office.

Fans of the series may remember Landon as the Police officer who befriended Aubrey’s sister, Sofia in Tinsel. He is gorgeous, totally alpha, and an absolute sweetheart, and he’s set his sites on Aubrey.

OMG, I am so in love with Landon! He’s a dream romance hero, such a good guy, but a little bit dirty, completely smitten with Aubrey and absolutely determined to her heart. He pursues her with single-minded resolve, not pushing her beyond what she’s ready for, yet not prepared to put up with her fears, or her attempts to push him away. As she herself says, he is “Stubborn, yet patient. Insistent, yet relaxed.” He is firm, yet playful, and dangerously sexy, and I am slightly obsessed with him.

The romance builds really nicely. There is epic chemistry between them, and there’s a bit of back and forth, but it’s not frustrating at all because Landon knows where it’s going, and he handles the situation perfectly. It’s entertaining and flirtatious with fantastic sexual tension, and the passion between them is explosive. I loved watching these two come together.

We get to see a quick glance of Logan and Thea, and of their daughter, Charlie, all grown up. There is a hint of a future story for her, and I’d be really excited to read that one!

I loved this book. It’s not a long one, but Perry tells Aubrey and Logan’s story beautifully, with lots of emotion and heat. It’s such a great read!

Super adorable and was really excited to hear about Aubrey and Landon because he was down bad for her. I know this is a novella but I just wanted more and their story was rushed, which made me sad! Aubrey is a such a badass and self made woman. Landon was dreamy and their relationship just fit so perfectly together.

I loved this novella. I needed a good, quick read and this delivered. It felt more like a full length book because there was nothing rushed about it. I love the way it was written as if Audrey was recounting the beginning of her relationship with Landon to Charlie. It was the perfect way to wrap up the Lark Cove series and leave room for Charlie to potentially get her own book later.

I loved Landon’s determination to win Audrey over. Once he knew what he wanted, he went after it. He knew he couldn’t treat Audrey like any other woman he’d pursued, and that paid off for him. He slowly inserted himself into Audrey’s life and let their relationship happen naturally.

Audrey was the quintessential woman fighting to break through the glass ceiling. Her past partners had held her job and her love for her job against her and she wasn’t sure what to make of Landon’s acceptance of her business oriented life. I loved that Landon broke through her walls with his honesty.

I loved this novella. And like many others, I hope we’ll get Charlie’s book someday!

Timeless is the fifth book in the Lark Cove series. Characters from the other books make appearances, so it's my opinion you should read these books in order so you know who everyone is and how they are connected.

This is Landon's and Aubrey's book. Charlie (Aubrey's niece) is home from college. Timeless is Aubrey reliving the story for Charlie of how she and Landon fell in love.

Landon is a sweetheart. He has so much patience and respect for Aubrey. I love how he doesn't want to change her, but only wants her heart. Aubrey badly wants to believe in Landon but struggles because of men from her past. It was sweet how everything falls into place.

Make sure you sign up for the bonus Epilogue at the end. It's a summary of all the bonus Epilogues from the series and provides a little sneak peak into a possible future book with Charlie.

Timeless is my last read of 2022 and it didn't disappoint one bit! Devney Perry is the literal queen of small town romances even though technically Aubreys story was set in the city.

Normally you read books where the male lead is rich and the female lead is working an average job. However, I loved the spin on the romance between Aubrey and Landon where Aubrey is the CEO and Landon is a police officer. He loves everything about her and doesn't let her work and money interfere in their courtship. It was sad that Aubrey was jaded on love thanks to her exes but Landon definitely grew on her and made her see that not everyone was after her money and to meet her dad.

All in all, another amazing book from the series and I really do hope we get to see more from Charlie! There was a hint there at the end that I hope comes true!!

I was ho hyped up for Aubrey & Landon's story ever since I read Sophia's book and I can definitely say that they were perfect for each other. He bought balance to her life and gave her the much needed stability. I loved Landon's pinning and how he was determined to make Aubrey feel happy and relaxed. Their were poles apart and came from different worlds but somehow still fit together. I just wish it was a longer book. I know this was just a novella but I would have loved to see more of them because the prologue and epilogue both were about their niece Charlie while parts of their story were just mentioned in them. Overall, I just didn't like the telling and not showing part but I still loved the couple!
