Needs a teeny, tiny bit of editing. Not that bad though.

**Potential Spoilers***, but more or less a summary.

This story took me back to a severe crush I had, when I was a kid. The author described things perfectly.

The heroine is an easy going, well-liked girl. She doesn't cause problems. Yes, she's popular but really average, and just going with the flow. In her heart, she knows that she's only half there - half doing things to keep other people happy.

When Tommy comes along, he gives her a reason to follow her own heart.

Very cute. Very good for the kids. But this is not a kids book that's written for adults. This one is really tween/teen level, I'd say.

This book was just awful. It was one of the most unrealistic stories I have ever read. The relationship between Jessica and Tommy was not believable at all. They fall in love with each other after literally one conversation. They spend the remainder if the book declaring and redeclaring their love. They do little else throughout the book. They cannot talk about anything besides how lucky they are to even spend a minute of their life in the presence of the other. Even when Tommy is framed and expelled from school, the two characters have to spend six pages discussing their love for each other before they can spend two sentences talking about the important plot development that has just occurred. Tommy leaves Jessica, after making some lame vague excuses that do not make sense and Jessica just goes along with it. There is little tangible emotion, just as there is no emotion in Jessica's cookie cutter interactions with her parents. Major plot points, such as revealing that Jessica's father is not really her father, are abrupt. No reason is given for why Jessica's parents chose to reveal this all of a sudden. The story is nothing but an idealistic dream about boys who recite poetry and girls who can study musical theater in college without worrying that they will never get a job. Jessica's ex-boyfriend is turned into a psycho despite the fact that they have been best friends since kindergarten and she never noticed that he is a complete lunatic? What?? And I don't care how rich they are, high school boys do not like to eat snails. The time travelling reveal at the end was extremely ridiculous and comical in its unbelievability. Tommy was given so little characterization that he is more like a wind-up doll who recites poetry on command than a real person. If you are older than 12years old or have ever had any real relationship with a man, do yourself a favor and skip this book. It's not really worth the time.

I could not bring myself to finish this book. Please, don't waste your time with this. The author just rushed through story and the dialog was complete crap. I stopped reading when Jess and her mom were having a conversation about her mom and dads failing relationship. The conversation had absolutely no emotion, it was like they didn't care at all. The author is trying to force all the feelings to the reader and trust me, they aren't there. At least it's free.

How can you read this book and give it 5 stars? I'm not trying to be mean, it is just genuinely bad. It feels like it was written by a teenager. There are lots of errors. Like the phrase "I learnt something new"... I cringed. The story just isn't believable. It rushes and doesn't seem to have a coherent thread.

Timeless has a great story line but it was just rushed. (You may continue reading my review if you like. There are A LOT OF SPOILERS! If you like, you can go down until you don't see the stars anymore to see why I rated the book 3 stars.)

*************************************************************************************************************************************
Timeless is a book about a girl named Jessica who is popular, rich, pretty, on the cheer-leading team, and she is dating Brad, the handsome captain of the football team. She seems to have it made but she's really an average girl. On the first day of school in Senior year there's this guy named Tommy who rolls up in a motorcycle at school and she's so amused & attracted to him that she just can't stop staring at him. She then sees him again in English class (first class) and she sits near him and can't focus because she can't stop staring at him. Once lunch period comes rumors are flying about Tommy. Her friends Kelly, Natalie, Adam, Brad, and Kevin say that he came from juvenile detention. Jessica hated the gossip about him and just gossip in general. She listens to the rumors but gets annoyed.

As the book continues there is a beach party and she's dancing with her friends & a bunch of other kids from school to celebrate that they are now seniors. As Jessica is dancing, she all of a sudden needs air (she's claustrophobic). She takes a walk on the beach and meets Tommy and she's now head over heels in love with him. The two talk and Tommy tells Jessica how much he likes her. Tommy is handsome and is sooo innocent! Anyway, Tommy takes Jessica back to the party and he leaves. Jessica likes Tommy a lot so she plans on breaking up with Brad on their 3rd anniversary dinner date to be with Tommy.

Only finished it because i always finish a book i start. Jess seems to be obsessed with "grease" wonder if thats the only reason she falls for tommy. Very unemotional dialog with her family. And whats with her parents just blurting out hes not her father like that?
