Timeless was one of the coolest shows on TV. It mixed history with sort of a sci-fi action series. You really got into caring about the characters and the themes were interesting, especially when they did an historical event that was a little more obscure. Sure the show was outlandish and unrealistic in some ways but it was fun as far a time-travel shows go. We were all super sad when it was cancelled after two seasons and the final regular season show was a real downer of a cliffhanger so it was great that they allowed them to make a two-hour finale that tied some things up at least a little. It wasn't satisfying in that we all hoped the show would go on but it was a good ending to the short-lived series. If you have the first two seasons, you really need the finale to make it complete. I was glad to be able to get this on Amazon before it's gone.

I think Arika and Lauren did a phenomenal job condensing five seasons worth of material into just two hours. I WILL FOREVER hate NBC for what it did to this show - it deserved many more seasons, but as far as a finale goes...this was very nearly sheer perfection. I wish we could have more adventures with the Time Team and maybe some day we will, but these episodes, fought for with many tears and fandom passion, gave us more closure than the previous Season 2 finale and really redeemed Season 2 - which I personally thought was a hot mess full of OOC moments and a soap opera-esque story line that really deviated from what was so great about Season 1. I feel like the writers tried to out angst each other in Season 2 and threw every gimmick they had into the storyline to create more drama without thinking through some of the more over arching story. (For instance - what was Nicolas' purpose besides eating pickled eggs and painting ominous murals?) I imagine part of that was due to only having 10 episodes to work with rather than the 16 they had in Season 1, but even so....back off on the drama and spend more time on the story/resolution rather than adding more angst right before the finale that didn't get resolved....until these wonderful episodes.

At long last the finale is out on DVD- note- the actual show was filmed in HD so an extra step was needed to put it out. Now our Time jumping folks get out of the trap, and succeed in destroying the bad guys. Unlike so many series, this one tied up all the plots nicely and makes for a great ending to this series. I heartily recommend this series in it's entirety but think this is how a show should end.

I loved the two years of the series, and was sorry it wasn't picked up for more seasons. But it must have been expensive to produce, so I guess it's understandable. This 2-part disc brings conclusions to all the story lines. If you watched the series, you'll want to watch this.

I don't remember now how I rated Seasons 1&2 of Timeless but I always liked the general direction it ran. It "Looked Good", lots of detail and a nice selection of stories. Some stories were stronger than others and the Rittenhouse subplot wandered around some (more so at the end) but Timeless was about as good as time travel TV gets.
A two hour make up to tie up at least some of the loose ends left at the series end was a surprise and a welcome one. This "tie up the loose ends" end to the series was even better than most TV series ever get.
I'll miss them.

Good series with a clever take on time travel. I have been a fan of time travel TV Shows and Films since the days of Time Tunnel. I will admit that the Lucy&Wyatt story line made the series even more watchable for me. 'Timeless' could have easily made a nice 5 year run(Just like 'Forever'). But it seems Entertainment 'Experts' decided that a good fun intelligent series that sometimes makes a viewer think should be cancelled. At least we have 2 seasons and a happy ending to enjoy.
One other other comment to the Entertainment 'Experts'; Your Greed is obvious in that 'Timeless' fans like me had to buy another DVD to get the Finale. It could have been included in the Season 2 DVD Set.

Everything about this finale measures up. It really brings full circle the story of "Timeless". What a great adventure it would be if we were able to really travel in time, and have the chance to meet our heroes while they were alive, or see history in the making or the birth of your favourite musicians or band. Through the show, we have an opportunity to examine just how fragile time is and how history could be changed in the wink of an eye and why time travel should never be invented. This has been a well produced, well written, well researched show. If you are considering purchasing this, be sure to purchase the complete series so as to see the whole picture. If you are a fan of science fiction and time travel stories, this is the series for you.

Für mich ist und bleibt die Serie "Timeless" die beste Serie, die ich je gesehen habe. Es ist eine Schande, diese Serie so früh abzusetzen. Und zwar nicht, weil sie laut den "Machern" schlecht ist, sondern weil sie zu teuer ist. Im Gegensatz zu anderen schrott Serien, ist "Timeless" der absolute Hammer! Zeitfans kommen an dieser Serie unmöglich vorbei.

Ich würde sogar 50 Sterne vergeben! Mehr, als nur eine Kaufempfehlung. Nur, dass diese DVD noch keine deutsche Tonspur hat. Ich habe Staffel 2 auf deutsch im Bezahl-TV gesehen. Wenn ihr vielleicht noch etwas wartet, kommt in Kürze sicher auch Staffel 2 mit deutscher Tonspur!
