especially to Elizabeth and Noah. Noah just couldn't find the love of his life. Would he ever find her? Or, did he need to go back in time to do so? What about Elizabeth? A young new widow left with a young baby to raise alone, along with paying off her deceased husband's debts, including a farm that was the only home she had ever known. How could she manage to meet the deadline the nasty banker set, the man out to force her to become his mistress? What happens when nature takes her anger out on the land? From start to finish I laughed and worried and cried. What happens when Noah spends time in a world so unfamiliar to him? Will he choose to remain there or does he return to "his own time?" This is a DEFINITE must read and one that is suitable for all ages.
Character definition was good
Plot was very good
Author stayed focused on the topic (more so than book 1 - which I was very happy to see! :-) So maybe now those negative clicks on my first honest review will stop?!)
The only discrepancy in this story that I noticed was with the sentence 'Someone had brought some straw bales up from the stables for more places to sit'. Balers had not been invented yet. Other than that little oops I thought the story was lovely.
Noah had to make that choice when he met Elizabeth. What will he do?
Noah has to make a decision whether or not to use a medical treatment that hasn't been used in the time period he was sent to, will he do it or not?
Why would he not? You really must get this wonderful book and read it for yourself to find out everything that happens. I recommend it wholeheartedly!
This was an ok story for me I felt it was rushed though to make a deadline. In my opinion was not one of Kay's best although it was a sweet story in the end
This story revolves around the premise of what he will decide to do. Go back to the future where he knows how to make a living, or go back to a past that has challenges that he is not he is uncertain will work out. I love this book, and found it so good that I could not put it down until I had read the whole book!
Wonderful story, can't wait for the next in series
