The watch's diameter is 1 7/16 inches or 36 mm. It uses a metallic, ELASTIC band that makes putting it on and taking it off effortless. If your wrist has a CIRCUMFERENCE of less than 7.3 inches, then it will fit without stretching the band.
I deem this watch suitable for anyone from kids learning to tell time to old folks having trouble reading clearly.
For less than $40, it is an excellent, practical watch for the money.
Even though I had to replace the band, I would still recommend this watch as a great value for the price. It's smart looking, keeps great time and is easy to read. And, for $50 (with the replacement band) it's still a great price.
-Yes, the expansion band does snag your hair, but it's not that often. It's only gotten me a few times.
-For us slimmer guys, the watch isn't going to fit out of the box. No big deal--take the thing to a jewelers and they'll remove some links for a small price (maybe even free).
-The time is rather difficult to set, but when I took my watch in to the jewelers to get some links removed they set it for me.
Overall, I think this is a great watch. It is my first watch, but nonetheless. It was a little smaller than I anticipated, but it's a great size for sticking out without being too flashy. The Indiglo feature really is cool--as another customer mentioned, it glows just dimly enough for you to tell the time in the dark.
I wouldn't let these comments scare you out of buying the watch. I was hesitant at first, but it turned out to be a great purchase.
Then I got an email from Amazon, where I had shopped for the replacement band. I could not understand why I had not also looked for the new watch there, but I had not. I checked and found this model at nearly half the price! The price differential was too much to ignore. I ordered it and decided I would return the other when received, which I did. The only difference, and I know it cannot be the sole factor, is the packaging. Macy's packaging is much more elegant, than that from Amazon which is less pretty, but certainly adequate. A $24.00 savings is much more elegant to me.
By the way, my father loved it! Very readable numbers, casual, yet dressy enough to wear with a suit and tie, to a wedding the first time he used it. And having lived through the Depression, he appreciated my story. I think on some level he realized some of what he tried to instill in me, had sunk in.

For the money, it's a good watch, but honestly, if I had read that it was a flex band I might not have ordered it.. My mistake for not noticing this in the description.Published 3 days ago by mikeroma

Bought this for my husband for Christmas two years ago. He still loves it. The numbers are big enough for him to read and we've only replaced the batteries twice.Published 8 days ago by Lisa Bowman
This band is impossible to make smaller at home. Had to take it to a watch repair to have links removed. Read morePublished 9 days ago by J. Slattery
My husband loves the watch. The band was not large enough and was tight on his wrist, so he put it around a tube of Pringles for a day and it stretched out just right.Published 15 days ago by N. Berdie
