When I got this watch I liked the big dot display. The watch did not come with a setup manual. I can see why some people would give it a bad review for not having a manual. Just came with warranty info. I played around with the watch for 10 mins and figured it out. Not too bad. But you can google the manual or watch a video on how to setup. The watch feels like a computer, since it has menus like smart watches.
I was contemplating between a smart running watch, but didn't want to deal with charging everyday. A cool feature is it has tap technology that lets you tap your wrist to mark laps. Another feature is hydration and eating reminders. It also has standard features like two time zones, timer, and alarms. Hopes this helps.

It is the easiest watch I've ever had when it comes to set up and adjusting settings. One pass through the manual and it all seems pretty intuitive.
Nighttime viewing is excellent and although the screen doesn't seem bright (has Indiglo, too), it is actually easy to read in the sunlight. I don't wear sunglasses, so can't say much about how they may affect it.
I would prefer more alarms, but with a little creative use of intervals and timers, I can make it work for my purposes.
I've only had the watch for a short period, so I haven't had any issues yet but I can understand the concern about the resin band not lasting long. It's definitely disappointing that it's not possible to replace with a standard watch band. It doesn't lay flat, and I also prefer cloth/Velcro bands for my digital watches. It does have a neat feature with the loop that holds down the extra length of band though, there a little notch that secures it at the very tip of the band that holds really well.
So, I had to remove one star for the band, and I was conflicted about another one for the amount of alarms. Considering that it's unusual to find a watch with more than 3 alarms without sacrificing price and aestics, I decided to only take off half a star. So my 3 star is actually 3.5.
