I own a lot of watches, as they are realistically the only jewelry I wear, and I like to know the time. There were a few questions and issues listed on the owner comments and I was concerned about the band length and one other 'issue'.
As measured while on the watch, the length of the band from the end of the buckle to the end of the strap is 9.5 inches (24cm). The last hole measures out at 8.25 inches (21cm). The smallest hole on the band measures at 6.125 inches or 15.5 cm.These will give you the approximate circumference of the band. If your wrist measures larger, wear it and it might stretch enough to fit. Otherwise ...
I have fairly good size wrists - I fit at the third hole from the end of the strap. After wearing it for a few days, the band is fitting more loosely. It is after all, nylon and it will stretch a bit.
Now for the other issues ... the Indiglo feature is astounding on this watch! It is bright and clear and highly legible. The face on the watch is large enough that in the dark it looks like a street sign. The other thing which concerned me was the lens / watch face. I couldn't ascertain from the pix or the description but - it is slightly recessed in the bezel by maybe 1 to 1.5mm. So - scratches and dings should be kept to a minimum as long as I'm not wearing while doing any blacksmithing.
I am completely satisfied with this watch and during summer with the sweat season ... I'll just wash the band in a light solution of ammonia to get rid of the oils and the dirt. It's that simple.
Buying a second as a gift as we speak. For about thirty dollars this is exactly what I need and I don't have to worry about scratches or dings.
So, I wish that they would speak to their manufacturers in China and get them to create a proper sized band for the watch, It is far more sensible and much easier to have a 'too long' band than a too short band, it bums me out that it is not a good fit, because I do like the watch a great deal.
However, as other reviewers of the Timex Weekender series have noted, it is loud. You won't notice it on your wrist, but it may be an issue if you try to sleep with it on your nightstand.
You can easily find a number of NATO straps on amazon or elsewhere to make the watch endlessly customizable, or, as I prefer, you can buy the Timex ZULU straps which are made specifically for the watch here at amazon or at Target (I've found the Timex brand straps to be more substantial and easier to switch out).
Overall, a great value and a very stylish watch. Highly recommend.
The back light is awesome
I have $3,000 watches that no one notices
First night wearing this 2 people commented on what a nice watch it was.
Only negative so far is the strap is a little cheap. The holes show stretch an wear after only a few weeks.
The strap is a little on the short side. I have smaller wrists and it fits perfectly, but I am on the 4th to last hole out of 9. The face is a good size, and the color combination looks great for casual or work wear.

I love this watch. It's perfect just to 'beat around' in. I wear it to work and it gets banged around a little bit. I get compliments on the band all the time. Read morePublished 13 months ago by buckeyenutt

I really like the classic nature and feel of this watch. The orange band really pops, although I do wish that Timex offered funkier choices in their Weekender bands... Read morePublished 22 months ago by bananaroad
Great little quartz watch. Phenomenal value, of course, and a robust little guy. It does tick very loudly, so you will hear it in a quiet room, but that's a minor quibble.Published 24 months ago by Andrew Poupart
