My goal is to find a cordless stick vacuum for a reasonable price, that cleans the entire house without stopping. I have hardwood floors and low to semi-medium pile carpets.
Enter Tineco's second generation A11 Master with 2 removable 2500 mah batteries and a full array of attachments. The A11 added a larger dust bin, greater battery capacity and more power in max mode.
I timed the battery in normal mode with the power carpet attachment. It lasted for 28 minutes and 33 seconds. This was after 1 battery recharge cycle. Battery time should slightly improve after numerous recharges.
I was able to vacuum my entire house with the included 2 batteries.
The non-power attachments are sufficient for any household job. They are injected molded, fit well and there is no air leakage.
What is most important to me for the power attachments are the electrical contact points. Contacts need to be built solidly to last without breaking down. the A11 has hefty and long contacts. Additionally, the power attachments and all connecting joints have injected molded guide ridges, thereby, eliminating strain or breakage during connection. This attention to detail is consistent throughout the A11 design.
The A11 in normal mode is 25w and in max mode 120w.
The power carpet attachment has both soft and hard bristles to better agitate for deep carpet cleaning. To check out the carpet attachment I spread instant coffee, sugar, ground up cereal and pretzel crumbs. I first used my Electrolux cordless. I then used the A11 in normal mode. The A11 picked up significant debris that the Electrolux missed. I then put the A11 in max mode vacuuming the same area. Nothing appreciable was left to pick up. The A11 in normal mode was sufficient.
To check out the power floor attachment I used the same mixture plus Cheerios, raisins and other assorted cereals. The floor attachment, in normal mode, was excellent picking up everything in one full sweep. I also spread Cheerios alongside the kitchen cabinet baseboards to check out edge to edge vacuuming. The A11 was excellent at edge to edge pickup. Max mode was needed to vacuum almonds and large whole pistachios with the power attachment, however, without the power attachment the A11 vacuumed the same in normal mode.
Ergonomics/weight distribution is GREAT as there was no hand or wrist fatigue after 1 hour of use. the A11 weighs around 3 lbs. without attachments. There is a constant on switch and both the carpet and floor power attachments have useful LED lights to illuminate any dark areas. All attachments are easily connected or disengaged with 1 hand.
For a full house cleaning I had to empty the dustbin midway. The bin emptied quickly and easily. Between full cleanings you can take out the inner filter assembly from the dust bin and brush it off ( with included tool ) and reinsert. The whole process takes 15 seconds. Its really simple and quick and keeps the A11 at full power. A full cleaning is simple and NOT time consuming.
The A11 has a floor caddy that houses and charges both batteries simultaneously. Most of the attachments are not stored in the caddy. The caddy holds the vacuum, both batteries, tube with connected power attachment and 2 non power attachments. My only quibble is the A11 doesn't stand on its own.
Tineco has paid careful attention to detail and produced a superior good looking cordless stick vacuum at a reasonable price. I am keeping the A11. Highest Recommendation.
I had to empty it 3x just from vacuuming the stairs (17 steps). My large 22x26 room I emptied 5x. I'm impressed with it's handling of dog fur (Husky) as well as how much small dirt/dust particles it picked up. Sucker's got some power! As advertised, it is pretty quiet. Quietest vacuum I've ever used. I was worried about the collection bin being too small with having a long hair dog, but with that power comes compression inside the bin so it's able to pack quite a lot into that small space.
Almost $300 bucks is no small amount, especially for a vacuum. I was very leery & hesitant to pull the trigger on this one, it being a brand I've never heard of before. Tineco can thank Consumer Reports for earning my business, as it was recommended by them over Dyson due to Dyson's decline in quality & reliability apparently. I'm only giving it 4 stars because it doesn't feel the most sturdy in my hands, not like a typical upright. This is my first stick so I'm probably just not used to the lighter design & style. It does feel well built, just not solid. Then again they are all removable attachments & parts so that's probably par for the course for a stick vac.
For now I feel it was a good buy. I say "for now" because I haven't even had it a whole day yet. I will follow-up as I put some more laps on it & get a better idea of it's overall quality & versatility.
**** Update ****
Holy crap does this thing pick up a LOT more dirt than any of my previous vacuums! My previous vacuum (Dirt Devil upright) could do the whole house & at most I'd have to empty it once. No joke, I have filled a 13gal tall kitchen can/bag!! Mind you most of it was dog fur, but still WAY more than the upright ever picked up. The bottom of the bag was all gritty sandy dirt, about 6" deep worth! I've NEVER had a vacuum pick up so much, let alone how effortlessly it does so. I live in a 3K square ft house, alone with just my dog. I bought it brand new 4yrs ago, no kids have ever been over, I never wear shoes in the house. I have absolutely no idea where all that dirt came from, let alone that my previous vacuum left that much behind! I'm absolutely amazed by this things performance! Will update on quality after more use, I've only had it since yesterday.
**** Update ****
Still very happy with this vacuum. Played with a friend's Dyson & I can say my first impression about it feeling toy-ish & un-sturdy is related to the style (cordless stick) & not a reflection of the Tineco A11 vacuum so I am adding the fifth star I withheld because of my first impression.
Also.. some reviews are complaining the bend at the base of the power head preventing it from going flat to vacuum under furniture & this is not true. All you have to do is turn the vacuum a quarter turn so the power head is on an angle & it drops completely flat. (Photo & video attached.)
**** Update ****
So I feel the need to counter the reviews here that complain about loss of suction after only a few uses. CHECK THE FILTER!! As I mentioned about how much this thing picked up that my Dirt Devil left behind, & how much of that was fine gritty dirt, well.. it caked the cleanable filter REALLY quickly! The tool they include to clean the main filter is included for a reason. I've had to clean the filter about a dozen times in 4 months. With a freshly cleaned filter I just ran over a penny & the vacuum sucked it right up, & that was in normal mode NOT on max.
The filter is stupid-simple to clean. It literally just slides in & out from the middle of the collection bin. I've started the habit of pulling & knocking it on the side of the garbage can whenever I empty the bin. It literally only takes 2-3 seconds to do.. I only use the cleaning tool about every 10 days to get the extra fine dirt off if it. (And yes, they do include a 2nd filter to swap into the vacuum before using the cleaning tool, you're not running the cleaning tool filterless.). The engineers really did go the extra mile to make this very user-friendly, an excellent performer, & easy to keep in optimal condition to maintain that performance.
4 months in & I still highly recommend this vacuum!

Still going strong! I now knock off the fine dust particles from the filter every time I empty the collection bin. I literally vacuum 1x-2x daily so I've used this thing at minimum 200x & suction power has not declined.

I was sceptical that this vacuum would have the power, battery life and build quality I was looking for. Took a chance on the lesser known brand an it’s paid off.
It is ridiculously light and quiet making you wonder if it is effectively vacuuming the floor, then you look at the volume of detritus in the dust bin!
We have a large four bedroom house and you can just about cover the whole house with one battery (on standard setting).
The suction is acceptable on the standard setting but hit the “max” button and it’s very powerful.
We bought the “master” version and there is an attachment for everything.
Filter cleaner = genius.
Dock and charging station fixes well, charges both batteries simultaneously and stores a coupled accessories to boot.
Finally, a powerful handheld which has the power and longevity to clean the whole house and is significantly cheaper than the premium brand.
UPDATE: After 12 months the motor stopped spinning up. I contacted Tineco and they replied within a day, I sent them a video of the issue and they immediately shipped out a replacement motor under the 2 year warranty. So within a week it was backup and running again. Excellent customer experience!
The vacuum is light weight, easy to maneuver, quiet and is full of features that you never knew you needed. The switch to keep the vacuum running without keeping your finger on the trigger is a life saver. It helps to keep your arm from fatiguing tremendously. There are lights on each of the heads to help you spot dirt and debris that you might otherwise miss... at first I thought that was redundant as I vacuum with the lights on (duh), but holy cow, does it make a difference! Really helps you appreciate everything you’re picking up and helps you catch all the dust bunnies trying to escape. I find it especially useful under couches, in closets, etc where there isn’t necessarily a good source of light.
The attachments are gold. I’ve used most of them by now (had the vacuum for about two weeks), and they all have a purpose. From cleaning out my dryer vent, to vacuuming my couches and chairs, deep cleaning my truck, getting all the cobwebs up high on the ceiling, even vacuuming my dog once! It’s crazy how many things you can do with the Master. One brilliant feature that I so appreciate is the filter cleaner. Who knew that would be something I needed and used almost every day?! The first time I used it I was astonished at how ingenious the concept was. Rinse free filters are the way of the future (of course I will still clean the filter in water occasionally, but the nice thing is that they provide you with two filters, so you can clean one at a time and still have the vacuum fully functional and always ready to go). Lastly - the two heads are AMAZING! For the most part, I use the soft head on most of my floors (I have all hardwood with some rugs scattered through the house). I find it really picks up the fine debris and makes the floors feel so clean. I’ll use the multi purpose head on the carpets sometimes, but occasionally when I’m feeling lazy I’ll just use the soft head on the carpets and I find it still works well. Honestly, the soft head alone is worth the upgrade to the Master. I don’t think I would enjoy the vacuum as much without it.
What’s next? Let’s talk about the batteries. I have a pretty small house (1200 sq ft), but that doesn’t mean that the vacuum doesn’t work hard. Our family includes two adults, two cats, and three dogs (all who shed hair like crazy!). Our family is very on the go, which means dogs are in and out all the time, tracking dirt/leaves/everything else outside, through our floors. I vacuum once a day (schedule permitting) and have to empty the bin at least twice per floor. I’ve never run out of battery, even while using the max power. The two batteries are a lifesaver, I’ll use one per floor and they usually still have a good amount of pep in them when I swap them out. I honestly didn’t think I would need 60 minutes of vacuuming time every day (and I don’t), but it’s a big stress relief to know that it’s available for the times I need it, and it’s convenient to pop a new battery in when going downstairs to ensure that I get a properly cleaning on both floors. The charging station is also super convenient. I love just putting the vacuum head back in place and seeing it automatically starting to charge. It’s so easy to swap out the batteries, and so convenient to be able to charge them both at the same time. We live a very busy life, and really it make a difference that I don’t have to find the cord and plug it in each time. That might not be a big deal to you, to each their own, but for us, it’s much appreciated. The charging station also keeps the two roller heads organized, and has room for two other attachments. That’s one area that I would have liked to see improved - it would be nice to be able to organize all the attachments together. Nevertheless, the rest stay in a box on the shelf beside the vacuum.
Overall - if you’ve been looking at cordless vacuums and you’re considering this one, you’re definitely a smart cookie. Over the years I’ve used many vacuums; Bissell, Dyson Animal, Shark Rocket (which I never thought I would find a decent replacement for before this came along). They’ve all be great vacuums, but the Tineco A11 Master takes the cake. I was hesitant switching from well known brands to a company that I’d never heard of before, but I feel confident in this decision and I know this vacuum will serve me well.
Originally I was trying to decide between the Master A10 and the Hero A11. I was struggling with the idea of dropping over $500 on the Master A11 as it wasn’t a brand name for me, and I had no previous experience with the company. I wanted to soft head that comes with the Master, and definitely wanted the two battery packs. I emailed the company and asked if they had any coupons at the time for the Master A11, as there were coupons for the Master A10 and the Hero A11. They responded that they did not, but to keep an eye on their website as they occasionally had promotions. I was impatient and decided to just bite the bullet, drop the $550 and get everything I wanted in the Master A11. I figured between Amazon’s return policy and the two year warranty, I was willing to take a gamble. I’m happy to report that it was the right decision in every way, and I would buy this vacuum and this brand again in a heartbeat.
If you are thinking about this vacuum vs another cordless - the Master A11 will not disappoint. It will be everything you wanted, and everything else you didn’t even know that you needed.
It’s perfect. I’m very impressed with how well it performs and the amount of dirt it picks up from a visibly clean floor. All the attachments you can need and want. The filter cleaning mechanism is unbelievable. I can’t believe other brands don’t have this.
The batteries last long enough to do my whole house. 3 carpeted rooms 4m x 4m, 1 hard floor 4m x 8m as well as the hall ways and bathroom tiled floor. All on normal mode. But even on max I only need the second battery for the last room and I can get the stairs cleared as well.
I can’t compare it to the Dyson but reading other peoples reviews of Dyson I believe the A11 Master to be much better.
The down sides in my opinion (not reasons not to buy) the charging mechanism of the battery when attached to the vacuum is a bit basic. I don’t like batteries being connected to chargers when they don’t need charging. A switch to turn the power on/off would be great (my vacuum is mounted in a small cupboard where it’s not easily to reach the plug socket). The only other thing is the material. The clear plastic doesn’t seem as robust as the typical plastic used on vacuums. I try to be more careful not to bang into furniture in fear of cracking it.
With everything considered I would recommend vacuum to everyone one.
The Tineco suction in normal mode is perfectly adequate on hard floors and flat rugs and normal carpet and even the car. Might not suck up Lego bricks but that is a good thing! I have a really thick pile carpet on my stairs and bedroom and it was fine for that also. But on max mode which I tend to use for that particular carpet I had to use two hands to move it as the suction was so strong. Very please with that !
The attachments are fab. I have wooden blinds and they are horrible to clean. This has a little attachment to allow you to dust them it's long and thin and perfect for skirting and hard to reach places. I have floor heads for both hard floors and carpet I would say with the 60 quid off voucher you are better getting the master over the hero.
Battery life is amazing I can do the whole house on one battery then use the other for all the extra stuff like sofas, skirting, blinds. You get two batteries and two filters with the master.
I do not regret retiring my Henry for this the build quality was amazing the accessories well thought out and the suction more than meets my needs.
One drawback is when charging the unit the contact points for the unit with the batter in it seem loose. However I have not wallmounted it yet so gravity may make it fit a little better when that happens.
Been using a couple of months now and while it doesn't have the same suction as the corded Henry, it's really really close, but in all honesty, that really doesn't matter as the accessories make up for it (see below). And when using the max button, it's probably better. Also worth noting that the setup and put away time is way less. Just pick up, add an accessory, go! Then when finished, just empty vac in the bin and put back on charge. So quick and easy! It's also much quieter than Henry.
The accessories that come with the vac are fantastic. The hard floor cleaner has replaced my brush/dustpan and this is used almost daily (have messy kids in the kitchen/dining room). The carpet cleaner is really effective. So much so, the first few uses it was getting full so quick, I'm wondering what Henry was previously doing! It's getting less full now, so presuming it's getting everything out of the carpet that's been stuck there for years. Gross! The handheld is brilliant and I've used it for stairs, in the car, sofa's, cushions and mattresses.
We've also used the vac to dust the house, which my wife laughed at me at first, but is surprisingly effective! The wife has since commented that her asthma/allergies have felt much better. I presume this is because we're sucking up all the dust and not just moving it around with a duster.
Two concerns I had where weight and battery life. Weight hasn't been an issue at all and the battery lasts long enough to vac the house (on normal mode with a few boosts here and there). Then used the other battery to do any other tasks like dusting or getting into any nooks. Incidentally, nice touch how you can charge two batteries at the same time.
In summary, this has become an essential household tool, doing a multitude of tasks but has also made doing all these chores so much quicker and easier. It does cost a bit, but I have to say, it's well worth the investment.
The only downside I have is that I didn't get this sooner!
