I have ceramic tiles throughout the house (about 1200 sq ft). There are no pets, kids or teens.My usual practice to clean floors was to use a canister vacuum to get floor clean enough to use a small tub of hot water with a dash of Pine-Sol. Then mop the floors. Yes sir, that method got the tiles clean. That task took about four hours plus breaks, and it wasn't exactly fun. But now . . .I have the corded FLOOR ONE S5 Steam machine. The job is so much quicker.This is the corded version not the battery powered model. The thick cord is not a burden. Oh, you might think I hate cords and want a battery powered machine. From other reviews on the battery powered models: they have a limited runtime, compromise cleaning strength, takes hours to recharge, and have electronic issues. If you need to get a new (expensive) battery. Is it worth it?Anyway, I can do the all the floors in about one hour (instead of 4 hours) and not be concerned about battery life. Still, I need the regular canister vacuum to clean around the baseboards, tight areas, and dust furniture surfaces (when necessary).The S5 can't be used for debris such as broken glass or other things that would damage it. Also, the manual states it is not for carpets (or throw rugs).TIPS:(1) Distilled water. I live in an area that has hard water. Just like for my coffee maker, I use distilled water for the S5's clean water tank. I figure the S5 will last longer by not getting clogged with hard water mineral deposits. I need about 1.5 gallons of distilled water for cleaning the entire house. A gallon costs about $1.25.(2) Ignore the excessively sensitive prompts to run the clean cycle mode. I learned to wait until I can see streaks on the floor or when the clean water tank is almost empty.(3) Disregard the nags to wait until the display shows 100% and the S5 is ready to dispense steam. I can't tell the cleaning difference anyway if steam mode is ready or not.(4) Replacement rollers. Some Amazon reviewers mention they can't find them. This seems to be the correct one for the corded Tineco FLOOR ONE S5 Steam Cleaner:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CYGJCQMH/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?smid=AE72PKYN7T6CJ&psc=1ALSO TO CONSIDER:I avoid battery appliances that do heavy duty work as I earlier touched on. What on earth is this thing?! I am floored by it!!

This thing practically cleans for you.

1. Charging: low to the ground; you put the mop on its holder, no bending, no fumbling with cords, the thing charges. That's it. It's one of those delight features that was very thoughtfully engineered.
2. Battery: probably okay? If you don't have old dried in pieces of food your toddler so helpfully hid behind a table/chair/under a rug, this thing will be fast and run for a while. If there are dried in things that require you to use the steam feature, it will run out of juice faster. But it holds 100% more than enough power to get you through routine mopping without needing to recharge.
3. Steam: works way better than soap! Easier to get stuff off the floor, no worries about little hands and paws, no extra cleanup step, no unpleasant odors. I was unsure if this mop would get greasy things like butter or whatever else my toddler throws on the floor, but it's absolutely amazing.
4. Self-drive: wow. It just gliiiiiiiides! The two water tanks on the handle could have easily made it unwieldly (looking at you, Bissel), but the self-propelled feature makes it very light and easy to handle. Trust me, my back pain has rendered me bedridden for months at a time before. The motorized wheels, though, make it feel like you're moving a light thing of hollow plastic. Definitely doesn't feel its weight and it's a good thing!
5. Cleanup: the tanks are super duper easy to handle. The mechanisms have this awesome click that gives you joy.
6. Overall: everything about this device is amazing. It's so so well thought through and the little details make the tedious chore a breeze. The delight factor is the name of the game. The mop gives you apple and bmw vibes.

Can't believe this device exists, honestly. We bought a Bissel a few days before we got this one and it's night and day, I'm not even kidding. So yes, this one is 2x the price of Bissell, but 1) it also cleans in half the time and 2) it operates so so much nicer and easier on you.

We recently converted to sealed vinyl plank flooring in our kitchen. I did quite a bit research before I purchased this steamer. It is pricey, but unlike the BISSEL CROSSWAVE the roller bar is soft and considered safe for my new flooring per my flooring manufacturer. I’ve been using this steamer twice a week for about 3 weeks now. Before using the cleaner I either swifter or vacuum the flooring so the cleaner is not so easily bogged down with dirt and dog hair. (When the cleaner gets bogged down with dirt or hair it prompts you to run the self cleaning mode and then empty the dirty water tank. This is as easy as putting the steamer on its base and pushing a button . It takes about two minutes for it to complete, but slows down the cleaning process a bit. ) The steamer was relatively easy to learn how to use it. It’s pretty quiet; quick and easy to use; it leaves the floor near dry; it’s self propelled; the audible prompts are helpful; and after I’m done cleaning the floors they are REALLY clean.
The recommended maintenance steps after using it are quite easy to do. The self cleaning mode really does a good job cleaning the roller bar and channels., The extra roller bar and filter that come with the cleaner are useful as they allow me to store the machine after each use with a clean/dry roller and filter.
Before I began to use it though I had to clear up some sources of confusion:
-The instruction manual leads one to believe that you can use detergent in this machine. Per TINECO customer service ONLY USE WATER in this steamer. The manufacturer has said they will edit the instruction manual.
-There is also a nine minute video on the Amazon site where the woman who is giving it, depicts putting detergent in this steamer. Careful! If detergent is used in the machine it’s at risk of being ruined.
- The picture below the item on Amazon that depicts related items that are “frequently bought together” included the TINECO cleaning solution. I had to return it as it should not be used with this steamer.
All in all I highly recommend this cleaner!
I’m hoping that it will last a long time!
