But I'd like to focus on the plot. There's not much, and what there is, is really simple. Most of it has just one villain, who shows up occasionally to cause trouble. He shouldn't bother, Tintin and Snowy find their own trouble just fine. The first ten pages are mostly Snowy antics, and a lot of Tintin's adventures in the Congo are gags about animals he's found while wandering around an unfamiliar country without supervision. Generally he either irritates or shoots them, and plenty of things happen that are irrational and silly.
I wanted to complete the series, and it was worth buying for that. If you really liked the gags in Tintin in America and Land of the Soviets, you might find something to enjoy here. But if you want an interesting story, or if you have a low tolerance for stupid stereotypes, skip it.
