Editorial Reviews

"I laughed out loud too many times to count, and thoroughly enjoyed myself. It was a romance, and a comedy, but it was also a mystery and a light thriller, as well. It's not young adult, but I highly recommend it to adult romance fans that like a unique, funny, and yes, even sexy at times, read." (Pure Textuality)

"TINY GLITCHES is one of the best books I have read." (Kimmie Sue's Book Review ★★★★)

"TINY GLITCHES is a unique story with a lite paranormal element, lots of action, humor, romance, and a delightful cast of characters. I wasn't sure what to expect when I started this but I can say I'm thrilled to have taken the chance on it." (Bookworm Brandee)

"This is such a fun book! Entertaining at every turn!" (Paranormal Romance and Authors That Rock ★★★★)

"TINY GLITCHES is a brilliant, quirky and lighthearted paranormal romance and it's just cemented Rebecca Chastain's name on my auto-buy list of authors." (Feeling Fictional)

"Be prepared to become totally engrossed in this beautifully written book." (Endless Reading)

This is paranormal romance with a punch. Tiny Glitches, Rebecca Chastain’s latest work is by far her most ambitious novel to date. It literally is a post-modern take on the genre. A killer plot, emanating from a series of “tiny glitches,” quickly rollercoaster into a web of intrigue, thrilling mystery, and, of course, romance. It’s probably the single book I’ve read, in this oft overlooked genre, that I would recommend to those who are new to it – or for that matter anyone who wants a good read. Chastain’s writing is a constant evolution as she flexes her wings, and Tiny Glitches sits at the top of the heap now. The sheer enjoyment reading this book (not the type you can put down easily) left me feeling exhausted, yet fulfilled. It was sheer pleasure to read.

The plot I’ll leave to the reader. Needless to say, all the stops were pulled out here, and layers of “tiny glitches” pepper the novel, building pressure and culminating in an explosive ending. The reader is constantly trying to stay two steps ahead of a game that’s seven moves ahead of them. You’re constantly behind the eight ball in this cat and mouse game. It’s impeccably detailed, and unerringly woven into a solid foundation, one that collapses as you rush headlong into a conspiracy that defies the traditional boundaries of a “paranormal romance.” Aside from the intimate encounters, which are tastefully written and spaced out adequately, you’d swear you were reading a Robert Ludlum novel – actually it’s almost exactly like a Ludlum book – high praise indeed.

The characters are varied and the cast of Tiny Glitches is the largest menagerie Rebecca Chastain has thrown at us yet.

*I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review*

Eva was born with a gift, or curse as she calls it, where she basically sucks out everyone’s electricity. Not even cars are safe from her uncontrollable ability. She hates it, but she and those closest to her have learned to adapt. Of course those who don’t know her suddenly believe in curses of bad luck.

“Redheads and trouble go hand in hand,” Mark said, walking over to me after he pocketed Hudson’s money. “That’s what my father always said. But always worth it.”

Hudson was only there to install a new security system, but before he left he had to ask Eva out. Too bad their date never officially happens and instead they get thrown into a wild goose chase with an elephant in tow. He becomes a firm believer in the elephant curse since every electronic he comes in contact dies a mysterious death and yet he still stays around to help Eva, a woman he barely knows, find Jenny, a psychopath lady who handcuffed Eva and left them shackled with an elephant and no idea what for.

“Shouldn’t I be concerned about the cuffs?”

“They were your idea.”

I originally thought Tiny Glitches would be fun and entertaining, but it was more strange and monotonous. Between pooping elephants, ninjas, cars breaking down and someone getting kidnapped every time I turned around it was a little much. The chemistry between Eva and Hudson was there sometimes, but overall it wasn’t. The storyline was interesting it just wasn’t captivating.

After a break in at the art gallery where her aunts painting were stolen, Eva runs into someone she is least likely to remember. In fact she doesn't remember Jenny at all. Jenny has blackmailed Eva into hiding a baby elephant, yes, I said a baby elephant! Since running into Jenny, Eva feels like nothing could possibly go her way, cursed in fact and I mean that quite literally. Eva drains electricity from everything she is surrounded by and Jenny knows all about it. Since being left with a baby elephant, Eva is handcuffed, kidnapped and has destroyed two house trying to hide this "package" from the police, FBI, the government, and two companies trying to get there hands on Jenny, the information she has on a possibly devastating experiment and the elephant. With some unlikely help and a hunky beau, Eva just may be able to save herself, Jenny, the elephant and the possible downfall of society, if she can stay out of trouble long enough.
This is such a fun book! Entertaining at every turn! I enjoyed it through out. Loved the knight in shining armor and how he just couldn't stay away. The twists with Jenny and the humorous PETA gal Eva just could shake. A book I would definetely recommend. This is a five hearts!

Tiny Glitches is one of the best books I have read. I was
hooked on this book from the first few pages. This is not
your typical tale, I love the new approach Rebecca has
taken with this book. I felt for Eva in this day and age not
being able to have any electronics. I would go mad. But she
is so resourceful I love that she had her apartment reworked
to have gas lamps through the house. And gas appliances
and heat. And then their is Hudson, reliable and extremely
loyal. I love hoe no matter what goes wrong, He never
blames Eva just goes along where others would have run.
And then their is Jenny and Kyoko. who have turned Eva's
world upside down. This was one hell of a ride and funny to.
I found myself laughing with all the divination's Eva saw.
I think I could red a few better than her but this was a dam
good book. I hope Rebecca writes another book with Eva
and Hudson. I'd love to see where life takes them. Now
before I ruin this for you I will leave off here. I hope you
enjoy this book as much as I did. If you do like this book,
please consider leaving a review. The Authors really like
it when you do, they value your opinions too.
