The sticker inside gives a manufactured date. This is super important when it comes to the safety and life of the helmet. My helmet is only 4 months old. It is SEI certified... but it is made in China. Yet, this might be some of China's best work. Had me fooled completely with the quality. I am not sure if any of the other helmets out there are American made. But now you know.
Structure- SOLID. There is zero exposed foam on the outside. There is no electrical tape type hem because everything is covered in some kind of hefty suede material below the shell. I think this should ensure longevity of the product against UV. The padding on the inside of the helmet (the top and the base of the skull) is removable for replacement or cleaning.... brow padding and padding around the crown is built in with the shell. Very thick (about an inch). The strap is typical nylon type material, but the chin and ear portions are covered in bonded leather and are very soft. Oh, and VERY well ventilated! It is pretty darn light for the sturdy construction. Comes with a helmet bag and some extra pads.
Also, it comes with a nice instruction booklet and some warranty (6 month limited). And it has a accident replacement program for up to ONE year with a small fee+ S&H from the purchase date. You have 30 days from the date of purchase to register your product if you want to be in the program. So, don't forget to register.Read more ›
Well, I hit that road so hard that a week later and I'm still picking rocks out of my road rash. Bruises all over as well in every color, shape, and size that they come in! I missed 5 days of work...During my mishap, I felt my head slam onto that road, and even though I felt as if I had a very minor concussion with my helmet ON, I hate to think of the possibilities of 'what IF' I had NOT been wearing it? My entire body was in horrible pain, but my head was not.
I like that the back has 'extra coverage' to protect the back of the head. A definite recommend. 70 bucks is a lot cheaper than a year of nursing home/rehab care for a TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury). We have the technology now for helmets, so why not wear one.

Great quality helmet. Really recommend. Just make sure you get the right size, as it's not very adjustable.Published 1 month ago by Reviewer
