After having this thing a while I have realized that the battery life is quite low. You are lucky to get 2 years of battery power. Then it needs to be replaced. Considering the fact that the back cover is almost impossible to remove, even for a professional jeweler, nevermind a mere lay watchowner, it needs to be sent to Tissot for battery replacement. The fee is about $50!!! Hence if you are considering purchasing this watch be prepared to spend quite a bit, over the watch's lifetime on maintenance. If I knew this originally I would have never purchased this.
Hence a revised rating, taking this into consideration, would be only in the 3 star range.
The new watch has the same appearance as the old one, but the buttons work differently on this one (the chronograph works). The new watch doesn't lose time either. I am very satisfied with the watch and its appearance. It looks exactly like the pictures, and the hour & minute hands are glow in the dark.
There are some reviews talking about how the watch has low battery life, but that might be caused by having the chronograph feature constantly on. The chronograph is a timer that can time up to 30 minutes on this watch. The "seconds" hand (the blue watch hand) is actually part of the chronograph -- it's NOT meant for seeing what time it is, but for timing something, like how fast your mile run was. If you keep the blue chronograph hand on forever, it would probably suck up a lot of the battery, so don't treat it like a "seconds" hand. I recommend searching up "how to use a chronograph" since the chronograph is pretty cool.
To turn the chronograph timer on or off, you can just push the top button of the watch.
