Tissot, V-8 lives up to its name
on October 3, 2005
This is a beautiful watch. I can say that with authority, because I checked out Breitlings, Omegas, Tag Heuers and others. I own a Tag Heuer and an vintage Hamilton. The Tissot is not available from U.S. retailers, only from Europe, so I was very pleased when Amazon could get it for me. It is similar in some ways to the Omega Speedmaster, with it engraved tachometer on the bezel. The dial color is ivory with black enamaled hour markers. Second hand and subdial markers are blue, a nice combo. The watch arrived promptly with a nice wooden box, warranty and instruction manual. It's a steal at the price, the Omega costs $1400. discounted, although it is a automatic, versus the Tissot's quartz movement. This is a big watch, I measured it at 43mm, and it may not suit everyone. This watch has the look, the heft and the styling of a very expensive watch and to my eye. it's better looking that many Breitlings, Omegas, Fortis and others. The price can't be beat in today's market. Highly recommended.
