like everything that Dan Abnett does, this is pure gold. a great graphic novel about titans, what can be wrong?. the other review is really complete an accurate so I can't add anything more.
but the thing is that this book is really thin and is the first one of a series which you can find together in this one
Titan: God Machine (Warhammer 40,000)
. I bought both and fortunately find that before buy the second volume
Titan II: Vivaporius (Warhammer 40,000)
, which indeed is in God Machine. of course when I bought them, God Machine cost me just 9.99$, and this one just 6.87$. so I sold this and conserve God Machine. =)

I bought it when Storm Of Iron plant on my brain the Black Library seed and start to buy lots of novels. I was surprised when I see a graphic novel instead a written one. but I really enjoy it, specially because who in the world.....of WH40k doesn't love the Titans?, come on, even for a non WH40k but mecha lovers, this is a must.
the art is great but I just really wish someday see this book with art like the cover, that could be mind blowing.
in general lines, this book rocks, no the best of BL, but is just awesome.

This paperback is in the same format as most of the
manga out there right now(ex. tokyo pop manga).
It is a compiliation of the
3 titan graphic novels that were previously released
and is entirely in black and white.
The way the book was bound made it a bit difficult to
actually read and the spine felt like it was bound
tighter than it needed to be..unlike some manga
that i've read in the exact same format.
Actually started getting cramps in my fingers and wrist.
The art varies a bit from chapter to chapter..
and some of it seems a bit rough but overall
I got a very good feel for the story and characters
from the art.
The story is excellent and has enough variation that
it will not bore you. I couldn't put it down and finished
it from front to back as soon as it came in the mail.
I'd give it 5 stars but the quality of the binding left
something to be desired. I don't like cramps when reading.

This was an amazing graphic novel. I recommend it to any one who has a Titan fetish. The only problem is that there is a tremendously large plot hole that does not make sense. You'd expect more from Dan-the-Man Abnett

"Titan - the Graphic Novel" was GW's (Games Workshop, a gaming publisher and miniatures manufacturer) effort to better popularize their already well-liked 40k universe. It has been an outstanding success and is one of their better "promotion" products.
The story focuses on the experiences of one titan across a battlefront of the (generic sci-fi human) Empire. The experienced Titan pilot dies of old age and a younger trainee is forced to take over the helm. He, of course, is not well accepted by the older apparatchiks of the Imperium (in the Adeptus Mechanicus) and has to face several trials to keep his Titan. All of the combat in this novel faces Ork opponents.
The greatest attraction is to see the fine artwork of the novel. The titans are fleshed out with every nut and bolt. The pilots and crew of a Titan are defined to great satisfaction for the 40k enthusiast. I bought my novel to give me ideas how to convert 6mm scale Epic titans. "Titan - the Graphic Novel" was well worth my money for that reason alone. However, I don't think the story could stand well on its' own if it didn't already have an established fan base of 40k players.
I recommend this graphic novel for the GW 40k enthusiast and fan.

The art works were hard to read and the contents were repetive. There's no point of reading this when the servitor kept repeating what's he was saying. "I am the God Machine." "I fear nothing." "Fire." 'the end' and so on...
Don't buy this book unlast you are soooo deseparate to about warhammer 40k's art work. Save up your money to buy warhammer 40k instead
