This is an excellent bread knife I would recommend for anyone. It cut through thick-crusted Italian bread effortlessly yielding even 1/4" thick slices one after another with no pressure required to penetrate the crust. Just pull the knife across the loaf and it begins cutting almost immediately and slices cleanly. Don't let the low price fool you, this knife performs!

This knife does as described, it slices bread, and in a very easy way as well. It is sharp, has a thin flexible (but not too flexible) blade. I have a couple other Tojiros, the serrated F-828 Kitchen Knife and the F-867 Bread Slicer knives and they are both very knives but this F-737 which comes at a third of the price of the two others, at 20$ is worth every penny.

So look. I get it. You're probably thinking, "It's a bread knife, what could possibly be such a big deal?" I thought the same thing too.

Then I sliced a loaf of bread with it. And I wondered why the hell I put up with my previous bread knife for so long. Two strokes, and straight through a loaf of crusty bread. The straightest edge on a non-mechanically-sliced slice of bread I've ever seen. No squishing or sawing.

Not that you'd need to, but you can cut a slice a millimeter thin no problem.

This knife is cheap enough that, when it eventually dulls, you'll have no hesitation in buying another. This will be the last brand of bread knife you ever purchase, end of story.

I am really happy that I purchased this knife. I recently started baking my own sourdough bread. The bread is amazing but is a little sticky inside with a hard crust. This makes it very tricky to cut in smooth straight slices. This knife does a truly beautiful job. Nice, clean slices every time.
I've also used it for tomatoes and those slice beautifully too!

This is a great and super sharp bread knife. Sliced through fresh ciabatta rolls with no crushing. I have several other high-end knives (Wustoff, Henkel's) that did not start off this sharp and cost twice as much. I may order another just to make sure I have a spare when this one gets dull.

Took forever to get here (slow boat from japan?) but it's one of the best knives I've ever owned. Sliced open my son's finger and a dish towel on the first day! Be careful. This one is better than the $100+ knives.

This thing is sharp. I learned the hard way. Not used to my bread knife being this sharp. Cuts tomatoes as thin as you can want. Cuts bread just like you'd expect. Would recommend.
