Hello, my name is Andy Nguyen. Okay, now first of all. I'm going to review TXR Drift 2. The game is set in Japan mountains also known as touge (the birthplace of Touge drifting). These are my opinion of the game.

Pros
~Game is more realistic compare to other arcade style game. You actually have to slow down during turns. Having actual racing experience would help in this game. Not racing gaming experience like Need for speed..
~Game has feature cars license from many official companies.Car selection is good as you start with a lower end car. Also special tuner cars like MCR Skyline, NOB s15, ect..
~Game play is fun if you like Touge racing.

Netual
~Graphics are an improvement over TXR drift but nothing special. However I did like the weather effect.
~Lighting system could be improve because there is no point in turning off a car headlights when they don't do anything to improve your vision of view.

Cons
~Storyline is boring and tedious. Especially when you have to connect to the online board and read all these random post.
~If you don't have the basic knowledge of handling a car, then your screw with this game. Heres a rough guide for cornering..1.slow down for turn so that you don't exceed your tire grip 2.Let go of the gas and turn into the corner 3.Floor the pedal when you exit the corner.

Overall, I love this game because the car selection give me a lot of tunning option. The physic is good, realistic enough to let me know that I can't corner at 80+ mph through a U turn. This game isn't perfect but for the price of $15? Its worth it for TXR fans.

I'm a huge fan of the Shutoku Battle series and thought I would give this a try, but I wasn't thoroughly impressed. There are some high points, like the car selection, which is very good. However, it is mostly riddled with annoyances and confusion that really make it not fun. I'm just going to ramble about some of the things that were annoying. The menus are a travesty. Once you screw around long enough to figure them out, you'll find your way to a race. There's some sort of vague leveling up system which it never really explains to you, but I assume it has something to do with unlocking more events. Once you start, you're thrown in with no tutorial whatsoever. No hints or tips for beginners that no nothing about drifting. The physics are pretty terrible along with the unresponsive controls. You are expected to drift through very narrow roads without even tapping the wall or your score for the entire section is negated. It all becomes tedious and aggravating very quickly. The music is painful and bizarre. I don't even know how to describe it. It's nothing like the other TXR games I've played where I've actually really liked the music. Maybe TXRD is just not for me, so I'll stick with TXR

This is a flawed forgotten classic, probably the best driving physics on the PS2, works with fairly modern racing wheels (G27) with full feed back. Might be the best drifting / touge focused game ever made.

PROS

Plug in a good wheel (G27) and the handling in this title is on par with Granturismo 6.
This game is UNFORGIVING but the feeling of accomplishment you get from hitting the perfect angle in a drift is UNPARALLELED.

The courses are based on laser scans of actual roads and have a lot of variety. This is a ROAD racing game so typical track layouts are not to be found

The story mode is interesting and its a fun challenge being forced to make choices and sacrifices to choose the right car for the next challenge.

The Tuner / Test mode allows you to do what ever you want with the tuning of any car and race it on any track. Good for a relaxing slide down a big twisty road.

The tuning system is deep, The game does not explain it so have google ready if you aren't used to doing suspension setups.

Giving a car a fun paint scheme to match its attitude is.. its important okay.

CONS

No clutch. E braking effectively activates the clutch so you can clutch-dump that way.

During some night races portions of the road will be gravel. Gravel is basically ICE for any car not setup to run on it (4 wheel drive). I have nightmares about awesome runs lost to gravel in the final corner.

The sound track is extremely limited but it is good.

The night races against the other racers is a lot of fun but the drift battles are over the top hard. Getting enough drift points AND winning the race is a very difficult task.
