Take Back New York
Welcome to a next-gen experience in a persistent and dynamic open world environment that is built from the ground up for co-op and where exploration and player progression are essential. Teaming up with other Division agents, your mission is to restore order, investigate the source of the virus, and take back New York.
Seamless Multiplayer: The Dark Zone
Enter the Dark Zone, a walled-off quarantine zone in the middle of Manhattan where the most valuable loot was left behind when the military evacuated. It’s also the most dangerous area in the game, where fear, betrayal, and tension are high. Team up with other players to take down your enemies and extract legendary loot via helicopter. It’s your choice to collaborate with other agents, or attack them and steal their loot.
New York City is being overrun by hostile groups trying to take advantage of the crisis. Beware of the thugs who roam in packs through the city, preying on the weak. Fight against the Cleaners, who wear hazmat suits and wield flamethrowers, set on cleaning New York from the virus by burning everything and everyone. Engage with the Rikers, a gang of convicts that escaped Rikers Island when the chaos hit, and who are ravaging the city and vying for its control.
Gear Up and Customize your Agent
Harness state-of-the-art technology, both networked and prototype, as a member of The Division. Customize your character and your backpack, your lifeline in mid-crisis New York. Communicate with other agents at all times with your smartwatch. Loot fallen enemies and customize and level up your weapons, gear, and skills.

You will not see other players roaming around in this game, aside from those already in your group.
As far as shooters go, this one is a standard cover-based shooter. Pretty decent, all around.
Customization of gear is on the short side - not a lot of options.
Graphics are great, but after a day or so of playing, every block looks like every other block in New York, the same can be said of enemy variety.
If you go into the Dark Zone, unless you know the people you are grouped with, TRUST NO ONE! People on your team CAN turn on and kill you.
It's also just a little weird to be shooting at unarmored people and having them still take sometimes a full magazine to drop them down. I know that the game is supposed to give you a progression system and make you feel stronger over time, but that just feels really weird coming from other shooter games.
Graphics are great, but the game just doesn't hold up. Get it when it's cheap if you're interested, but for me this game will be a constant reminder to buy a physical copy that can be traded in on games I'm skeptical about. I just had to have it the week of release, and now I'm paying the price for it.
I want to like this game, but I shouldn't have to wait weeks and weeks for these gamebreaking problems to be fixed when they should have been addressed before release.
Avoid this game at all costs until you can find this game in the bargain bin for $7 and even then make sure Massive(the developers) have fixed the bugs, exploits, and huge replayability issues with the game.
I wish I wouldn't have bought this game digitally as I can't even take it and trade it at a used game store...
Don't get me wrong, I had a blast playing with friends but after the initial fun wears off I found me and my friends just kind of stopped playing. Oh and if you don't play with friends it really isn't not that fun.
