The fate of the free world is on the line in Tom Clancy The Division 2.
Lead a team of elite agents into a post-pandemic Washington, DC, to restore order and prevent the collapse of the city.
Restore order in the nation's capital by taking out thuggish factions and collecting newer, better weapons
Ubioft's remarkable attention to detail fills Washington, D.C. with interesting environmental stories, and the dynamic weather creates evolving combat situations
The laughable enemy barks and meek-sounding weaponry make sound design a weak point of an otherwise stellar game
The classless skill system allows you to customize your play experience to your liking and swap on the fly. Gunplay is more satisfying than the first game, but the sticky cover system can leave you unintentionally exposed when moving to new positions
The story falls short, but The Division 2 is filled with loops to keep you invested in upgrading your agent well beyond the endgame, including gear score optimization, Dark Zone ventures, and daily challenges

After about 20 hours on the game (all comments here on single player campaign mode), here are my observations:
-gun mechanics are significantly worse than Div 1
-weapon leveling is ridiculously slow, and enemies outscale the sparse upgrades much quicker making you always behind the power curve
-weapon selection and upgrades are weak, so you cant really lock in a certain gun and upgrade it
-skills / perks make no material impact as you implement them (AI will crush your turrets in about 15s, seekers do little damage to anything - etc.)
-not real sure what the storyline is supposed to be about, but after this far in game not invested the whatever it is at all
-same insanely long load times (and there are two of them per session again) as Div 1
on the plus side, the graphics are pretty good on the PS4 Pro - but not good enough to outweigh the anemic plot and stupidly hard grind in campaign mode. there also are some interesting items strewn across the maps, but you cant even consider entering a higher level section as every enemy there will one shot you immediately.
i would wait for this to go on sale or buy it used as there is not enough here to justify the hype.
The year 1 pass included with the gold edition.... not so much. You get early access to content (which is free a week later) and a few missions and cosmetics... I loved the first game and was willing to pay the extra for the developers, but it's not worth the price .
