    For $10 or less, I'd consider purchasing the expansion. Any higher, and it simply isn't worth it.

    I bought it for $9 and completed almost 50% of it in about a week without focusing on missions. I'm taking my time to explore the "new" city, but through helping other agents in need of backup I've managed to beat 1/2 the expansion in very little time. In reality, it seems like raising the level cap to 40 is the main focus and the other content is a SMALL extra.

    Positives:
    Stronger weapons
    More game play
    Control points and other side activities
    No game ending bugs, which were issues when it was first released based on reviews

    Negatives:
    Once you start the expansion, you HAVE to finish it! No switching between DC and NY which is what I originally thought. This encourages you to blow through the expansion as quickly as possible if you want to return to DC to complete all the activities. Had I know this in advance, I would have waited to activate the expansion. You might be able to switch between cities once all of the NY missions are completed, but then there won't be much left to do there. The inability to switch back and forth is frustrating and a warning should have been provided but wasn't.

    Leveling up from 30 to 40 didn't start happening until I left DC for NY. It really shouldn't matter where I level up, but to the game it apparently does. Also, going from level 30 to 40 happened WAY too fast. It took a while to go from level 30 to 32, but levels 36 to 40 happened over a couple hours of game play . Maybe the developers didn't want to make leveling too monotonous, but I paid money (partially) to boost my level higher and feel like it was almost given to me (bought) rather than earned.

    SHD cases are far more difficult to obtain in the expansion. In the regular division 2 I'd rarely have trouble locating a case. If I did, within 5 minutes I would normally track it down. With the expansion, there are several that require an elaborate path to be taken which requires doing things you haven't had to do up to this point- shooting the repel lines so they are accessible in an area you can reach, for example. If you don't figure out the trick, which can take half an hour or more in some cases, kiss that SHD case goodbye. Several times I circled buildings multiple times trying to locate the hidden secret to access the case location.

    Water, food, and components are pretty much useless in the expansion. After taking over a control point, I stock them up with everything they need. I check around a few days later and all of them are still fully stocked. Great, but what do I do with my full inventory of these things?

    Projects have pretty much gone by the wayside as well other than completing the tasks to take out each rogue agent. I personally enjoyed helping out the settlements with their various tasks (some would find this pointless/busy work), but none of that exists in the expansion. Doesn't the settlement need to beef up their defenses or gather supplies from a nearby faction? If they do, they don't want my assistance with it.

    Conclusion:
    Do I feel like my $9 was well spent? Sort of. I enjoyed being able to level my character more and expand on the story. But the fact that I could probably beat the expansion and reach level 40 in 1-3 days if I dedicated an entire day to it makes me feel like the amount of additional content in inadequate. Enjoyable, but inadequate.
