Situations mode allows you to work your way from the recruit class through all of the operators while playing different game types (Deathmatch, Protect Hostage, Disarm Bomb, etc). In this mode you are introduced to the different weapons and tactics that are available for each operator.
Terrorist Hunt offers a PvE element which will allow you to team up with four other squad members to take on the Terrorist. You also have the option of going about this alone in the Lone Wolf mode, which is much more difficult. Terrorist Hunt is a good way to figure out your favorite operators and their unique capabilities.
Multiplayer is the bread and butter. You have two multiplayer options, casual and ranked. As you may have guessed, ranked is much more difficult and teamwork is ESSENTIAL in this mode. Casual is somewhat possible without while running solo, but ranked is not. Overall, the multiplayer option in this game is amazing if you enjoy a more tactical and thoughtful gameplay. If you are looking for a run-and-gun Call of Duty type of game, DO NOT BUY THIS.
Overall, I really enjoy this game. The only con I would present is that if you are a lone wolf, it would be exceedingly difficult to go into ranked and such because you will more than likely be matched with full fireteams and that will be a difficult task to face. However, it is still a very fun game and it hits the mark.
Sure that game itself plays in English and the ps4 isnt region locked so it works fine, but the fact that my game has a lower to no value resale if i wanted to trade it in AND that i didnt get what was described is extremely annoying, plus it would be nice to be able to read the case info..... i could have purchased locally and got what i was purchasing.
Wish i could say this was a simple mistake, but you can clearly see a difference before inserting it into the porely provided packaging envelope.
Moving on, the reason why I LOVE this game so much is that you HAVE to communicate (via headset) with your teammates if you are going to succeed. Plan and coordinate how to you are going to breach a building or plane or whatever to rescue a hostage, disarm, or plant a bomb. The game mechanics are spot on, I have yet to come across ANY glitches. The game is just realistic, you can shoot through wooden walls and will someone, but don’t expect the same with concreate or steel enclosures.
There are also a multitude of weapons and gadgets available depending on which agent you choose of course. You also have a RC camera so you can spot enemies and better plan for a breach or defense. You can also use surveillance cameras to spot hostile targets as they move around in halls and corridors or the grounds. You can also repel up or down buildings, crash through windows or wooden barricades.
If you love espionage and applying tactics and team building, then this is a MUST by tom play with strangers online or with a group of friends. This is as real or as good as it gets without being so futuristic or sci-fiey.
I received the game, brand new as advertised. When I put enough hours into the game, I wanted to opt in for the season pass, however I could not use that DLC with the version of the disc I received. If you plan on eventually purchasing DLC, Season Pass, etc. make sure you are buying the US region of the game, or your DLC won't register. So now if I want to purchase DLC, I will have to buy another copy.
That being said, you do get a new, fully working and functional game. There have been no issues that could be disc related. I can still buy operators with the in game, earn-able currency (renown, not r6 credits).
I have seen some mixed reviews on this product. Some got my "region-free" version, while others received the regular US version. If you decide to go with this product, and you receive a region-free version; return it or exchange it (You can tell by the rating system. Pegi rating will have a 17+, instead of the ESRB M-rated stamp). This is a game that you are going to invest time into, and not being able to even use the extra content is such a cripple sometimes.
