I really like how TomTom displays their lane interchanges, it simplifies things when needing to change interstates. How can you go wrong when it displays all the upcoming lanes and highlights the lane/s you need to be in.
I saw a review on here about not being able to see the screen while wearing sunglasses. I have no clue what they are talking about because I wear sunglasses all the time and I could see the screen just fine.
My only gripe with TomTom and the reason I only gave it 4 stars is the maps. It comes preloaded with maps of the USA, Canada, and Mexico. I have no need for maps of Canada and Mexico at the moment. This being the case I wanted to load an updated map just for the United States and was unable to. The size of just the updated United States map is too large for this device even if I delete everything. I ended up having to put in a micro SD card in to do this, so it's not a big deal. You would think that a Map of just the Unites States is smaller than one of USA, Canada, and Mexico but I guess not; why can't TomTom shrink it down to fit on the device without needing a micro SD card.
In the end I would highly recommend this for someone looking for a GPS, specially on a budget, and it won't let you down. We actually plan on buying another for him to drive to school in July.
Lo and behold they, after putting me on hold several times to figure out what my problem was, they realized that my device was indeed as empty as a dead egg. So fast forward another hour on the phone, we finally achieved downloading only to realize that my tomtom doesn't have enough space to contain all 3 maps ( US MEXICO CANADA) . So I had to choose a part of the US and finally CANADA.
shame on the seller and Amazon.
With the TomTom it was EASY to add the POI's I need for my stops. It is easy to add a destination that was not previously on my list. It gives you the choice to take or avoid toll roads. It gives you the choice to easily change the routing, which is necessary because I drive a tractor trailer and didn't want to pay over $300 for a truck gps.
Really having hard-time using it and realized amazon doesn;t accept return for this and its a total waste of money thinking Tomtom was a good brand

So far this seems like a great gps. Easy to use and the suction cup holds really well to the windshield. I do wish the suction cup assembly was removeable, though.Published 3 months ago by Matt Alexander
