The poor camera control exacerbates the difficulty of aiming with the Wii remote. It's extremely difficult to avoid an enemy, lock onto it with the camera, and as the camera's moving, actually get a good aim. The only other Tomb Raider game I've ever played was Legend, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. This one is a complete mess compared to Legend, but I guess since I spent the money on it, I'm obligated to finish it, before I decide whether to trade it in, or lock it away as a collector's item, likely never to be played again.
The game is fun but it does get a bit difficult in some areas of the game causing me to have to run to the computer and look up a walkthrough to help me get through it.
I'm going to have to agree with a few of the other reviews that said the control was bad. In some places during the game, at critical times during a particularly difficult maneuver, the camera angle changes right in the middle of it, which therefore, changes the directionals on the controller so that you end up going the wrong way.
After trying over and over again, you finally get the feel of how the camera angle changes and when, and are able to adapt, but it takes time.
Other than those frustrating parts, I enjoyed the game, though I would have liked the game to have been longer. It was a very short game.
My 13 year old is really good at games, but there was one
part she was getting so frustrated, she had to keep doing it
over and over and over, in the gym area where you have
to jump back to get on the rock, she finally did it, but it was really
hard. If you look on you tube it helps when you get really stuck.
Game is pretty fun, but be warned that some parts are really difficult.
So if you get frustrated really easily, I wouldn't recommend it.
