Erases to clear!

As you can see in the photo, the top was erased with the pencil's eraser and the bottom was with these. Super smooth and I hardly pressed down- I left a little bit of writing so you could see I actually had something written there but can erase it completely clear.
The only thing is that each individual eraser is wrapped in plastic which I think is wasteful, but they each have their own sleeve which is handy in my pencil bag so it doesn't get all marked up.

Tombow is known for top quality products from pens, brush markers, pencils, erasers and more. I particularly like these because they easily erase sketching lines without damaging the paper. The material from the eraser sticks to itself so there isn't any debris left on the paper after using them. I like to buy them in multiple packs so I don't run out of them because I use them every day. The price for the number of erasers is excellent.

These erasers did not leave any smudges when I used them on pencil outlines. They are small so if you have big hands you may want to order larger erasers. I was erasing pencil on wood slices and the eraser worked well. You definitely get your money’s worth with these erasers.

Don't cause smudging, but also don't erase dark marks completely

These erasers are a good value for the price. I used them while drawing. A
I found that they did not erase heavier marks completely. However they did work well for erasing lighter marks, and so this product would be useful during first drafts, etc.

True to claim, they did not cause any extra smudging on the paper. The corners of the erasers are small, which made it easy to target small details and busy areas of a drawing.

I like the material and plan to continue using these in conjunction with the large pink erasers. I do wish there were an easier way to grip them during use--an indentation or something of the sort. But in general these erasers are a good deal for the cost.

Pros: Truly don't leave smudging or tear paper. Good for erasing light marks and small details.

Cons: Do not erase heavier marks completely. A little tricky to grip given the material.

How does the sleeve work? Can still see the lines.

This won't fully erase lines, and the material is flimsy and often calves off in large chunks. Also, it's only really partly good for the first little bit that sticks out the sleeve anyway, for after that you have to take the sleeve off completely, at which point it's vulnerable to breaking apart, and does, or, if you try to expose a little more through the edge of the sleeve, it barely slides out no matter how much you push, and if and when you do get a little bit more exposed, its split and breaks off anyway.

Erases really well

At first I just wanted a Japanese eraser since they probably erase more precise than us.
But let me tell you this eraser is better than the regular old pink erasers I used to use before I had mechanical pencils.
These days mechanical pencils have small erasers and when it gets way too small, I can’t even get it out so using this mono eraser really help.

It erases really easily when I write (usually semi hard) and it usually leaves no marks behind.
The plastic or cardboard case for it makes it easier to grip and hold and it is also easier to like pull the eraser out if you run out. It will still hold onto the eraser.

Still the best eraser after so many years

For a period time, you could not buy these in the US import shops. There was some type of import ban on products that used pvc. Therefore Tombow released a version without pvc (green labeled). That version erased terribly and created excessive dust.

I used standard erasers from pentel and staedler but I always come back to the tombow blue labeled erasers. They erase very good with minimal dust and don't create holes when used on thin paper.

I was frustrated by how the white or pink erasers that you can buy at office supply stores didn't always remove what was being erased, while also significantly abrading the paper and leave messy streaks. I was initially skeptical that these small erasers were up to the task, but they really delivered: they erased thoroughly, didn't damage the paper noticeably, and also did not create a mountain of eraser crumbs after each usage. I'd definitely recommend stockpiling a bunch of these if you can find them for a good price!
