These dual brush pens have a versatile and flexible nylon fiber brush tip on 1 end that creates medium or bold strokes by simply changing brush pressure. The fine tip on the other end is for smooth straight lines or writing. The resilient nylon brush retains its point, stroke after stroke. The ink is water-based and blendable: use 2 colors together, or use the colorless blender pen. The pen tips self-clean after blending so there is no messy clean-up! Use these pens for coloring, rubber stamping, hand-lettering, doodling, journaling, and more. Perfect for fine art techniques. The ink is acid-free, non-toxic, odorless, and non-bleeding. Each package contains 10 pens (9 colored, 1 colorless). Available in a variety of color schemes, each sold separately. Conforms to ASTM D 4236.

Flexible Brush Tips
Flexible brush tip works like a paintbrush to create fine, medium, or bold strokes making them the perfect tool for hand lettering, illustration, drawing, rubber stamping, and more. Made of smooth and resilient nylon fibers, making them durable enough to take on pressure without breaking or losing their original shape even after extensive use! Tips are self-cleaning, allowing you to mix and blend colors without fear of permanently staining or ruining your marker-simply brush onto scrap paper to clean the tip!
Fine Bullet Tips
Fine bullet tip is strong and firm, giving a consistent fine line perfect for drawing embellishments, intricate designs, details, and writing!
Vibrant Water-Based Ink
Easily mix and blend ink to create an array of new colors. Blend two ink colors together or use the colorless blender pen to create watercolor effects. Or just add water using a paintbrush to create soft subtle color washes!
108 Color Coded Caps

First off, being water based they claim to be so blendable - HAH! The only thing that happened to my paper when I tried both the blender pen (included) and the water refillable brush pen (recommend) is that my paper ripped, warped, and the image greyed in color or became necessary for me to apply more color to the face but when I did so, the skin color became darker than before I tried to blend it. And it still needed blending because these pens show every brush stroke! The image does NOT look anything like the front cover. I have included some pictures of faces I did with alcohol based pigment inks for comparison (which ARE highly blendable and have always turned out great). I DEEPLY REGRET spending the extra $$$$ it cost me to buy this set. It was SMALLER and MORE EXPENSIVE than the BIGGER BETTER ALCOHOL BASED SETS!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Some better Alcohol based sets are: Copic Sketch, Shuttle Art, Dainayw Art Marker, Brianyo, and STA.
The mouse’s name is Gordon. I’m really happy for him. Enjoy my markers, Gordon’ And never give up on your dreams, lil buddy! We’re all rooting for you.
#942, #977, and #969 are more or less along the same brown gradient and blend well.
#912 is an odd subdued orange color that I can’t see ever using as a skin tone on its own. It only seems to go with #020 which looks like a light yellow color with an orange tint and #850 which looks like pink with a yellow tint.
#800 and #772 are otherwise very compatible pink shades.
The remaining color pen (N15) is just black.
**This honest review is based on my purchase (& longtime use) of the Tombow product line. The Tombow company did not ask for nor influence my review. The Tombow products I've used in the past are what influenced me to purchase (9/16/17) this set of "Tombow Dual Brush Pen Art Markers, Portrait, 10-Pack" and this particular product lives up to the Tombow quality.
I've gotten a lot of use out of these markers in my art with no sign of any colors running out or tips damaging over the course of five months. Only the colorless blender from my earlier set is starting to wear since I've been rough on it (they can be purchased individually however, and both palettes I bought came with one). These were well worth the price to me!
