This is a handsome, functional pen, with some weight and shape to it. You'll need to replace the pen cartridges, but those are less than the cost of a pen, generally, anyway. So, why not have a pen that looks good and works well?

I really like this pen. It's beautiful and stylish, and it writes extremely well. I've dysgraphia and this pen has helped me write better as I prefer actually writing to just texts on a computer screen or e-ink tablets like the remarkable tablets or Kindle scribe. They're really nice and convenient. But nothing imo beats good old ink and paper. This pen helps me to get my dysgraphia under better control. Love it!!! Writes like a dream and is quite a statement piece. Awesome pen!!!

My second Tombow rollerball - I loved my first and gave it to my wife.

Perhaps not as flashy in the hand as the Pelikan I later gifted my wife, but certainly not as finicky as the Waterman fountain she gave me. The Tombow is very well made, sturdy, balanced, has a gratifying heft in the hand, and the rollerball cartridge flows without scratchiness or interruption.

Overall a very good writing experience, and the price means very high value and you won't be kicking yourself if you happen to, say, leave it at the airport.

The .5mm tip on this cartridge is absurdly wide. The line weight is really .7mm or even 1mm on normal copy paper. And there seems to be no alternate refills that are true .5mm. The body and grip nice and worthwhile. But the pen is unusable for me.

Soni bought this because I have the mechanical pencil version. Actually I have the 5 and 9. I LOVE these!!! I will say that it's better to buy this while it's on sale for the following reasons; first of all it's so much lighter than the mechanical pencils! The line feels more like a 0.7 than a 0.5 though. I've tested against my other Tombow pens and also uni pens (making sure I use Japanese ones since the line varies from country to country) and this one is far thicker. Wish I could get a 0.5 refill sent.

My last one of this pen finally broke when the threads between the top and bottom wore out. I think I had it more than 20 years. Tombow's blue ink cartridges are my favorite color and write well. All around good sized pen.

Even better: this pen for $15 is the same pen Tombow sells as the "ultra" pen for $55. I held up the new one to the old one to verify. Exact same pen.

The pen is really very nice and gives u the feeling of superiority (Really). It writes well, looks great and feels great. Refills cost Rs. 185 each but a bit hard to find in local market (non metro centers). Make sure of the local availability of refills in your city because on amazon, they are listed at 5 times the actual price.
