$90 Comforter with no Pillow Sham?
on January 5, 2011
I received the comforter today and eagerly opened it. I have mixed feelings. It looks nice from a visual standpoint. But, in haste I must've somehow overlooked that I spent $90 for a comforter alone and no pillow sham. Argh. I expected both for that price (it was that price for both on overstock.com but I failed to order before they sold out or discontinued it). Very disappointed about the no pillow sham. If I order the sham, I'm paying $40 more dollars plus shipping. For the time being, my 3 year old son and 4 year old daughter are sharing a room. We just got them beds that will eventually be bunk beds so the bedframe is a consideration as far as how it looks versus a traditional bed frame where you could have a bedskirt where I think it would look nicer, yada yada. It looks nice on the side that faces up (the denim side) but it is a clumpy (sorry for the lack of a better description) on the backside which in turn might not be very comfy for my son. I do think it will be warm which I was looking for in a comforter. I ordered my daughter the pink version of the Tommy Classic and hope they look good together. He will eventually move into his own room but while they shared, I wanted something that complimented eachother. I remain hopeful on that. Again, really bugged about the no sham. I just edited my rating from 3 star to 4 star bc I am liking it more and more and feel it is a quality product.
