The whole thing can be easily lifted off your LCD if you lift it straight up, you can even slide it along the TV bezel. There is virtually no tension. Yet it sits nicely and securely due to gravity because it's hooking on your front bezel. Very nice!
This TV Mount Clip does exactly what I need. It was easy to unfold, and while it didn't look like it would work, just hooking the flat front rim on the top front of my TV caused the back arm to find the right angle to hold itself up. The Kinect snaps onto the base by squeezing the buttons you see on the sides of the Mount Clip, and you're done.
I liked the way this works, and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to top-mount the Kinect for their Xbox One.
The mount is not strong enough to hold the heavy Kinect sensor up securely. It can "kind of" hold it up, but it's way too easy for it to be knocked down. You will be in fear at all times of the camera falling behind your TV with even the slightest movement of the TV.
You can see on photos, that angle of inclination forward is restricted. Because if you tilt it on 90 degrees it will fall.
I needed to use double sided tape to attach the bottom piece so it would not adjust. Maybe I just got a faulty unit. For the price, I will just keep it. If I had paid more and I would have probably returned it.
When it arrived, I opened the box and was a little disappointed after looking it over, but decided to go ahead and see how well it'd work. The plastic isn't completely flimsy, but it's not rock solid. It is slim and low profile, which is desirable.
The kinect clicked right into place. Once in, it didn't budge and stayed firmly in. I sat the mount with kinect on top, centered it, adjusted the back mount pad, and looked it over. It worked perfectly. Wiggled the tv a bit to see if it would slide forward or fall back. Although it did not, I could see it doing so if someone bumped into the tv.
If there was something I could change, I'd include a 3M strip of hook & loop for the back. It has a foamy pad that probably won't slide, but hook & loop would make it not slide at all. I just may purchase a few strips for similar situations, and add it to my setup. Just my opinion.
