David and Wiley apart and together are great.

David is out and has a family that truly supports him. He is in college and living with his best friend his brother Derek. He is kind and sweet. Loves to cook and has a crush on Wiley.

Derek his brother is loving towards his brother and protects David. He is understanding loyal and Wiley’s best friend.

Wiley is quiet and studious. He was David’s bestie and felt like a part of David’s family. He wasn’t really what he seemed to be. He was more. You can tell that he has alot of love and passion waiting to get out for the right person.

When Wiley suddenly moves in with Derek and David is when the sultry moments kick in. We see the forbidden glances and the air of tension that comes from attraction that is thought to be forbidden. We see the heat between David and Wiley and the confusion over it. We see Wiley come out with his past and his feelings as well.

The story is sweet at times with the family aspect, sad with all Wiley went through, sexy with the moments with Wiley and David and the ending where Wiley doesn’t lose it all but wins a heat, love, loyalty and passion and family was wonderful. The book was sexy and entertaining while just keeping you in the moment and wanting to see where David and Wiley land.

A very good MM romance, but not a fan of the trope

David is in love with his brother Derek's best friend, Wiley. This love has started five years ago when he met him for the first time. Derek always knew about his brother's feelings for his friend but he always kept saying to his brother that the guy is straight and that he should look somewhere else. When Wiley has a fight with his roommate he ends up staying with the guys and sleeping on the couch. This becomes torture to David as he will keep seeing his love in front of him every morning without being able to do anything about it. One day Wiley helps David with his assignment that needs a model to pose for him and that is the day everything changes for both. The night of that day is the night David has been waiting for for a long time. The story consists of six chapters and is narrated from David's point of view.

The story has three characters and all three are very likable. David is a kind and helpful guy. His relationship with Derek is adorable. It is good to read a story in which two siblings get along very well even when they are sexually different. The chemistry between the two main characters is really cute. I feel these are characters that every reader will root for them. The sex in this story is light and soft, nothing hardcore. I guess the author wanted to focus more on the romance than the erotic physical side. For me, the biggest problem with this story is the trope where the two protagonists are in love with each other for a long time (five years in this story) but both doing nothing about it. This trope never works for me. I don't find it believable especially when it is between two males. I feel if it was one of them being in love and the other not and just realizing it now is a more believable situation. I find instant love is more convincing than this trope as well. Despite not being a fan of this trope I still think Tonight is a very good M/M story and let us not forget to mention that it has a sexy cover too!

Five years of loving his brother's straight best friend has made life hard for David. Even knowing he can't have Wiley doesn't stop the fantasies, especially now that Wiley is sleeping on their couch. Grateful that his best friend Derek is giving him a place to stay, Wiley is trying not to make anymore mistakes. But after posing for David's art project he realizes that his secrets might not be worth holding on to anymore.

Tonight was an enjoyable short story, like a little snippet out of David and Wiley's lives and I wish it could be longer because they were so cute together. Both David and Wiley were likable characters and their chemistry was great. Wiley's life was turned upside down in high school and he's tried to repress who he really is to make his mother happy. He's managed to keep his crush on David a secret but once he's living under the same roof he can't keep things in forever. I felt so bad for Wiley and how he was treated as a teenager and I loved how David handled things. His words to Wiley were so sweet and even though he's the younger of the two, he clearly has a nurturing side. After there night of revelations and some sexy times, Wiley is ready to live his life just how he wants. When Wiley comes out, Derek was a fantastic brother about everything and I liked his support. He clearly loves his brother and best friend and I was glad he didn't pull a complete freak out.

The pressure on David is tough but not only for him, as we find that Wiley has been crushing on David just as long but didn't want to ruin his friendship with David's family. They both come clean, spend the night together, admit they love each other and the shocked brother is okay with it all. A well written quick read. I will purchase more from Ms. Stivali.

Seriously. This book really surprised me! I wasn't expecting it to be bad but I also wasn't expecting it pack so much while really flowing as a story, really having an arc to the story that is satisfying in such a short book. But it did.

Unrequited love that isn't so unrequited, brother's best friend, friends to lovers. And it flowed so nicely. It was sweet and sexy and feely. It doesn't feel like it leaves you hanging or wondering if it's real between Wiley and David but that's not to say I don't want more. I dooooo.

I really loved this! It was my first book by this author but won't be my last.

Let's face it, the whole "friends to lovers" theme has been done time and time again. Regardless, it didn't stop me from enjoying this sweet, short story. The two leads, Wiley and David, were both so adorable that you just can't help rooting for them. I also had a soft spot for David's brother Derek, he was such a sweetheart the way he looked out for his younger bro and best friend. It was refreshing too, that this wasn't yet another GFY tale, and that Wiley was in fact gay, but just too afraid to come out (because of past events). This was a really well written novella with a perfect balance of humour and heat, resulting in an ".....aawwww" ending. Good stuff.

This was such a lovely, quick read. In less than 50 pages Karen Stivali manages to introduce you to these characters in such a way that you grow attached to them almost immediately.
The story is a familiar one, David is in love with his brother's best friend and thinks he has no chance. But after a change in their circumstances has Wiley moving in with him and his brother, David gets a chance to be alone with Wiley and maybe things aren't as hopeless as he originally thought.
As it is a short book the story progressed pretty quickly but we don't lose out on quality at all. The romance felt so genuine and their passion practically poured off the pages. My only complaint was that it was over so quickly.
After reading this I will definitely be checking out more works by this author!

The story unfolds and continues with some humour between the banter with no expectation of anything leading to anything. But with the the ideal situation and some dutch courage the true feeling of an unexpected two come together. Really well written and the whole read was great with an expected detailed ending. I would have liked the story to continue to see what happened next between the three...

The fact the characters were American bugged me a bit because its all about outwards appearances for them rather than the inner worlds like European and British guys, but beautifully written nevertheless.
