As a Mom, I especially appreciate that this toy does not run on batteries and allows my son to develop his coordination and strength pulling the lever to make the trash dump. I was a little concerned that he would not be able to do it by himself yet, but after about 10 minutes of practice he had it down. I also like the fact that they toy is otherwise quiet and doesn't talk or play loud annoying music!
He has already logged HOURS playing with this toy, independently. So, it's great for me too that he found something he likes to do by himself!
Our friend's 4-year old son came over and he LOVED it too. So, I think it has some good longevity, and a good age span.
I loved that it was not battery operated. So we can play with it out in the backyard with the sandbox and hose and it doesn't mess it up. The mechanism is super cool but too difficult for my little 2 year old's hands. We duct taped it together so it's just a level.
As a girl, I don't get the chargy-flamey looking business. My husband says it's just "cool." Whatever.
The trash bucket comes unattached, you can attach it back on, open the top of the truck, dump it in, and then tilt the whole back down to empty it. Super cool.
