i rate this book w/5 stars. let me explain why; i personally read all genres. the longer the book/series the better, since i read through them pretty quick. alas, it must be a good story/well written or i'll toss it aside and start something new. so many books, so little time. this is a different read for me, a quick little gem full of story that i found new and interesting. i truly enjoyed it and learned some new things regarding native american culture. i was wrapped up in these characters and will miss them. i hope, hope, hope the author will write a sequel. i will be the first to buy it.

What an incredible read, for all people! Alexei was able to keep the reader engaged with his quick witted, sharp tongued main character Crispy. You will not be able to put it down!

This book is a very important and essential part of our culture in being able to give the reader the viewpoint from our perspective. Brilliantly written, and an encouraging piece of fiction to signify our stories are still very alive and need to be passed down.
