To be completely honest, yes, this album doesn't sound like the "rock" and "pop punk" that Panic! is known for. It's exactly what the band has been saying it is, an tribute to their Vegas Roots. This album sounds very popish, and not very polished, and a lot more 80's inspired than anything else. It's exactly what Panic! At the Disco is known for, not being confined to one music style. It sounds like Las Vegas. I personally love the sound of it, and my personal favorite song is This is Gospel. It's nothing like what you would expect from them, then again, if you've been following the band or are at least a fan of their music you'd know that what you expect is exactly what they don't give you. (Need I refer to the drastic style change between A Fever You Can't Sweat Out and Pretty Odd and then once again for Vices and Virtues?)

Basically, I love it already.

This is my favorite album.

I'm kinda upset because I'm one of those people who treasures the whole thing, including the case it comes in. The back was really messed up and there was even a small scratch on the CD. I don't think it's too bad but it bothers me. :(

If you're looking for new music, I definitely recommend this album, though. Seeing P!ATD live was one of the greatest experiences ever and Brendon Urie's voice is beautiful.

There is a different sound to this album than there is to other PATD albums. At first, I thought it was okay, but once I listened to it more and more, I now think this album is beautiful. Brendon Urie's voice never ceases to amaze me along with the great compositions of the music, this album is easily one of my favorites.

When my daughter asked for this album I was so excited. Panic has stuck around for some time and she is just now getting into them. Love it! I do not feel this is one of their stronger albums but it is still worth a listen

I didn't really like this album when I first listened to it. Still trying to figure out the breakup of Panic! and how the remaining members work for me. But, I ordered the CD, put it on my PC and elsewhere and have been loving it. And, listening to this has caused me to go back and listen to other Panc! as well as their musical cohorts Fallout Boy. Great stuff.

Wasn't a huge fan and not sure what the future will hold, but when my music subscription suggest I give this a listen, I ended up ordering a vinyl copy because i dig it that much. Will get hours of playtime.

I was an early fan of some of the songs on A Fever You Can't Sweat Out even if I can't really listen to the whole album without getting tired of the yelling, so I didn't really expect much from this album. I missed the intervening albums because I was trepedacious. This was on sale though & I took the risk... and am pleasantly surprised. The vocal performance is more restrained and more compelling. The lyrics are not genius, but they are some interesting turns of phrase... it's like they took some time to be more focused on interesting rather than making themselves heard. Vegas Lights stands out for me, but most of the songs here are interesting for one reason or another.

I love this band a great deal and I've been with them through all the many changes. After having listened to this album repeatedly for a few months I feel confident saying that this is, hands down, their best album to date. There is a sophistication and maturity to both the lyrics and the music that I feel is this band finally growing into the potential that their debut album showed. Every single song on this album is solid and compelling. There is literally nothing I did not like in any of the songs. I am so impressed with how far they've come and I can't wait to see where they go next.
