This is a large format (8.5" x 11") spiral bound planner with plastic front and back covers for durability. Being spiral bound means it lies flat. That is a huge advantage over a bound planner that always seems to want to close on you or have that nasty lump in the middle that makes it hard to write close to the center margins. The paper is 28lb paper and is thick enough that writing with a gel pen does not bleed through.
This planner is geared to the person who is a goal oriented and task driven person. The planner has a multitude of sections to efficiently help you plot out and keep track of your goals and actions.
The beginning pages of the planner are for "Goals" and includes a generous number of pages for listing your yearly goals, then space to go into more detail about what goals you are trying to accomplish and why.
The Goals section is followed by the "Planner" section which is the bulk of the planner. Each month begins with a two-page spread of the monthly view. The bottom of each page has a section for "Notes & Ideas." Then is the weekly view, again on two facing pages. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday is on the left side, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday are on the right side page. Each day is a column with hours starting at 5:00am and going to 11:00pm in half-hour increments. The line height space is pretty small however. The roughly bottom third of each weekly view page has areas for "Outcomes" and "Completion Steps." There are additional blocks on the left page for noting the major outcomes for the week and listing "...what creative ideas will help improve the overall quality of my life this week"
The final section of the planner is the "Notes Journal" and is 7 pages of space for "Notes and Reflections" and "Actions."

I highly recommend this planner!
I read the information that people use this at MIT, Google, and more. I wondered what was so special about this planner. I was already looking for something as doing my daily list on paper was getting a bit old. Out of the choices I gave myself, this is the one I chose. Mostly out of curiosity.
Let me say when it arrived I was impressed. The binding and look of the Planner is great. The pages do not tear easily and with the tabs I can find what I looking for quickly. This isn’t a thin little daily planner this is a well bound Dream Maker!
As I looked over it the first time, I immediately picked up on the 20 minutes a day X 20 Days = Habit. There were some things I had wanted to become more of my life that I always felt like I didn’t have time to do. I thought I would give it a try. I focused on two areas, Planning Time and Housework. (Ughhh I hate housework! But it is a necessary evil.) I am happy to report that these two simple steps have produced results.
On the housekeeping side, my husband isn’t fussing about the kitchen being out of sorts or the house being messy. Yhea! We will be having fewer fights over something I consider silly.
Second is the planning. Making myself commit to this one was a bit harder. I was use to jotting things down in the morning, as it came to me. I then I would pick out the things I wanted to do, not necessarily the things that needed to be done.
This Planner makes you focus, not only about today but the future. You start by writing down where you want to be in a year. Then it explains how to work backwards toward your goal. (You start with one goal and as you use the planner and get comfortable, you can add more. I’m a rebel and started with two.)
With each new month you refocus on goals and look back over past successes. You come up with a tentative agenda and a plan on how to obtain your goals for the month.
What I really like is the weekly/daily plan. Where I was writing down a whole list of things and then picking, this made me realize I couldn’t get it all done. This gives you 3 Priorities, 3 Secondary, and 3 Other.
Now unless these are small things, I don’t think that I can still get all 9 done. BUT what it has done was made me put “what has to be done” in the Priority Section. Things I want to do in the Secondary and use the Other for things as they come up during the day.
Life is constantly changing and I like the Other field because that lets me adjust what needs to be done during the day. When you have a 5 year old this is necessary.
This planner is really making me focus. It is probably more import to know WHY I want something than How. It is helping me spend more time with my family. It hasn’t been 20 days yet, but I am committed to setting aside every night to plan my tomorrow.
I now understand why major companies are using this planner with their employees. I am getting to the place where I look forward to my planning time instead of dreading it. I am no longer thinking, “What did I do today? What did I get done this past week?”
I now get a daily feeling of accomplishment. I feel proud at what I have got done in a week. I can only imagine how I will feel when I get to look over a month.
This planner will help you more than you know and the price is spot on. I would have paid more for what I am getting out of it. It is exactly as described. I would not hesitate to purchase this again or recommend it to my friends and family.
