The quad's response and control is uncanny considering size!! I bought this to fly indoors and was pleasantly surprised when i took it outside. It flies even in moderately windy conditions. The mini-quad has blown all expectations. This is the mini quad you want go get it you will have tons of fun

OK, the LadyBug charging device was initially hard for me to understand and I do believe they are changing the manual. The most amazing part of my experience with the Seller was the incredible customer service. I was very frustrated with the charging device, but in reality the device works PERFECTLY!!!
The deficiency was more with me than the charger, however the manual was a bit confusing.
NONETHELESS! after Dave from Dollar Deal contacted me, explained in detail and I obtained a new Lady Bug, that little critter is AMAZING! like a 'smart' machine, works incredibly well. I think the challenge of learning to use this little device makes it even more of an adventure in sound, light and acrobatics!
The entire device, from charger to machine to controller worked perfectly. All the parts are in the box, even spare propellers were included. I think if 'an adult' opens the box all the parts will be available. One bit of advice.... DON'T LET YOUR GRANDCHILDREN OPEN the box, since they scatter parts from hither to yon!.....
I must say, I have done a 180 in both my opinion of this machine, IT'S DELIGHTFUL!!! and the company, Dollar Deals...someone there, Dave, totally solved all my problems and by doing so, introduced me to this truly delightful device.. A REAL BARGAIN!!!!!! and one of the most truly delightful RC toys I've gotten in the past three years.
Worth the money

Received this in the mail a little earlier that it said. Everything was included but directions are very unclear as stated by other costumers. Its a very fast moving copter so I don't no if I would recommend it for small children. Also the propellers will pop off on occasion but can be popped right back on. I did find it needed a lot of trimming from start up so that's still a work in progress. Overall I would give it a 3.5 out of 5 but I couldn't so I went higher.

Awesome product. Impossible to fly indoors. Practiced crashing outside for awhile, UNTIL I THROTTLED UP AND BABY DID IT FLY, FLY, FLY, until I couldn't tell which direction it was flying except for up and down. Then it went out of range in the distance and fell down, location unknown till this day. I had fun with it for the 2 days I had it. It's not the seller's fault, just my low skill level and the bad decision to fly it in my neighborhood instead of a field or playground. LOL!

The manufacturers age recommendation is 14+, not 8+ as described here. It was bought for my son, but I set it up, read the instructions carefully and gingerly tried to make it hover... set half speed and slowly throtling the up to lift it and then discover that one of the gyros has been wired wrong as it spins when the other 3 are not, and stops when the other 3 are going. Not a great start and so since this was a gift, we now have to go through the hassle of replacements/refunds/repairs etc. The manufacturer website does not have any troubleshooting advice etc incase there was some magic command in the RC that reverses the polarity on one arm. Looking one the web at other reviews, I don't have high hopes for it, it looks like the position of the battery pack is critical to balancing everything and that easily shifts while you are trying to connect the 2 wires together (as someone already mentioned, a switch would be nice). His AirHog was probably harder to fly, but seemed more robust.

I have owned several helicopters and flying toys. I'm addicted to them. I bought this one for my teenage daughter. With all my practice I found it very hard to fly. She still loves it and it still works but I would recommend the Airhogs helix for this type of toy for kids. I bought one of those for my son. Its easy to fly and seems to be holding up well for him. I only bought the ladybug because it was girly but If they are really into the flying toys then they don't care what color or shape it is.

A couple of months before turning six, my daughter gave me a (totally unwarranted) lecture about how girls can enjoy toys that are normally regarded as "made for boys," such as remote control helicopters. I did as much research as I could and took a gamble on this device that that says for ages 14+ on the box. There are very few RC toys made for six-year-olds, and I didn’t have much confidence in them. With a little help from her all-too-eager fortysomething dad, it wasn’t as much of a stretch as I had feared. Flying it is moderately challenging (for her and me) and the thing is surprisingly durable. Because we're both new to RC helicopters, so far we've only flown it indoors - and crashed it many times - and it has held up really well. So far just one cracked one propeller - very cool that a few spare blades come standard! Battery life was another pleasant surprise. They claim something like 7 minutes of flying after 30 minutes of charging, but those 7 minutes are like football minutes - you won't have it in the air with blades spinning continuously (at least we're not at our current skill level) so it's a good half-hour of fun or better before the battery dies.
As others have noted, though, the instructions for charging it are really confusing. My best shot at explaining after some trial and error: Only one of those two wire connectors (the smaller one, which runs to the Lithium-ion battery) gets plugged into the battery charging unit. The instructions make it seem as though there's an on/off switch, but there is no switch. You “switch” it on by disconnecting the smaller wire connector from the charging unit, and plugging it into the larger wire connector (which runs to the green circuit board). Then you pop the ladybug shell back on, turn on the remote (which DOES have an on/off switch), and you’re flying!
