Style Name: Camera Case: Zoom 50 Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
My rating: 4.5 out of 5. The reason is because I would have preferred the padding to be slightly thicker all-around, but the case still provides decent padding.

The inside of the case has these measurements:
7.5" vertical height from bottom of case without soft shelf.
Dimensions of bottom of case is 4" x 3.5"; Dimensions of top of case is 5.5" x 4".

INSIDE SPACE: The case comes with a soft shelf that attaches to the velcro sides on the inside. The shelf allows you to create a hidden space of 2" to 3" in height, leaving a 4" space above. You can put a smaller device in the top for a better fit, or two different devices in the case. I keep my Canon SX210 Digital Camera in the hidden space, and I put my Panasonic HD Camcorder in the top space. The shelf can also be used as a divider to create space for two skinnier, but taller devices.

POCKETS: There's a flat pocket in the top flap that measures 5" x 3" for fitting about 8 memory cards.
There's a pocket in the front that can hold a digital camera, or a personal recording device, or battery and battery charger, or an A/C plug.

PADDING: The base has a tough, thick padding, about 1/2" thick. The padding in the rest of the case is about 3/8" thick. I would have preferred if the padding was either 1/2" thick all around, or even a 5/8" thick padding. It would have been a perfect case then, but it's still offers great protection.

I don't use this case for my DSLR. It does fit my Canon XSi DSLR, but not with the lens attached. I can store the 18-55 lens in the bottom space, and the body on the soft shelf. The bottom won't hold the 55-200 lens, or the camera body. It will only hold small lenses.

This is an excellent case. The handle is tough and padded well.

Lowepro has the good reputaion on camera bags, but first I was very concerned about the size too small for Canon 60D & 18-135mm lens, while I didn't want a big toploader. After reading everybody's reviews here, I was convinced that it should work and I have given a try. Wow, it worked. It's big enough for the camera, or it may be a little tight to somebody else. For me, it is the perfect size. I can put my extra battery and hood in the front pocket, and memory cards inside the lid pocket. If I fly, it can be put in my suitcase or backpack. When the weather is bad, I can easily take pictures and put camera back to it for good protection. For light travellers, it's highly recommended to have this bag for Canon 60D.
Update: I can carry 2 lenses: one with the camera in the bag, and another one like 70-300mm in lens bag attached. I can put 60D & 17-55mm F2.8 lens inside. I thought, only Tamron or Sigma 17-50mm f2.8 lens would fit, and I really wanted to use it to carry my new general purpose lens. Glad to find out that I was wrong.

Style Name: Camera Case: Zoom 50 Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
I'm a portrait photographer, so the bag that I carry around usually is large enough for a number of different lenses and flashes. That's definitely not enjoyable when you're heading to the park with your kids or taking a bike ride. This bag is ideal for traveling. It's compact and yet has more than enough room for my body and my favorite walking around lens (28-75mm) with me. I love that there's an easily accessible front pocket as well - it's the perfect place for me to put my cards and cash so that I don't have to carry a purse around as well.

One of my favorite parts about this bag, though, is something that I didn't expect. The other day my husband and I got ourselves and our children up at the unholy hour of 5 am to go to a fishing derby. Of course it started sprinkling and then the rain came down. I got worried about my camera until I remembered that the bag had built-in rain gear! I slipped the rain covering out of the back of the bag and wrapped it around the bag. It stayed on beautifully and kept my camera gear safe. Any photographer will tell you that when you're not prepared for the rain, it can ruin not only a shoot, but also your camera, costing you thousands of dollars. That's why I was so appreciative of the rain covering.

This has become my favorite walk-around bag, and considering that I have a number of different bags, that's saying something. Lowepro did an awesome job creating this bag, and while it may be the first bag of theirs I own, it won't be the last.

I bought the Lowepro 55 AW intending to use it for two lenses, a Nikkor 35mm 1.8 below the horizontal divider and a 16-85 VR mounted on a Nikon D5100 above the divider, with hood extended. I'll also be using it with a 70-300 VR (hood extended) on the D5100 with the divider removed. If the 13" height, as stated in the Amazon description was accurate, this would have been no problem, however the actual exterior height of the bag is only 11". The 13" height appears to include the floppy handle on top. The interior height of the bag is 10.2", and the horizontal divider is over 1/4" thick. I also considered a Think Tank Digital Holster 40 v2, which expands height-wise, but seems to have less storage in the exterior pocket, is a bit heavier and more expensive.

I can still make the Lowepro work for my intended uses, but the fit is tight, with the back of the camera extending slightly above the top of the bag when opened. The flap must then be pushed down around the edges to be able to zip it closed. I'm going to keep it, since I like everything else and don't want to step up to the much larger Pro 75 model. If you'll be using lenses shorter than mine, or if you don't need the lens hoods extended while in the bag, you'll be fine. The only other issues I have with the bag are the use of plastic rings that attach to the strap (though they'll probably be okay) and the horizontal divider, which could have been designed to allow easier access to the contents below it without having to undo and re-position the velcro each time.

Also note that other brands' "modular" accessory cases won't necessarily fit on the Lowepro modular system. I bought a Tamrac lens case after reading a review saying it'll work w/ Lowepro. Not so - the "attachment flap" is too wide to fit under the Lowepro "attachment strap" sewn onto the side of the bag. I'll need to exchange the Tamrac lens case for a Lowepro.
