Blog postBased on reader feedback, The Last Flamecaller, has been retitled as DFV Ethereal. In addition to the new name, the book now sports a new cover and has been incorporated into the Terran Fleet Command Saga.
The original cover of The Last Flamecaller (although most people seemed to like it from an artistic standpoint), clearly missed the mark. Many readers saw the horses and understandably believed I had written a “fantasy western” story – well ou2 years ago Read more -

Blog postI'm finally back to writing full-time and making good progress on the next book (number 6, can you believe it?). This one is a bit of a departure from the original series, but still set in the same universe with at least a couple of returning characters. The working title of the new novel is "Dryden: Flamecaller." Although it's still science fiction (and features some of the same tech from the original series), the new story line has elements that cross over into the2 years ago Read more

Desperate tyrants often resort to desperate tactics … regardless of their species.
After suffering a near-catastrophic defeat by Terran Fleet Command, the Pelaran AI strain gambles on a bold, “hands-on” approach to controlling the destiny of a Human world …
On the pre-industrial world of Didara 4, Dryden Beck awakens alone in the depths of the Scarsdow Forest, knowing that he has murdered thousands of his own people, but with no memory of how or why.
He soon discovers that he has been forever changed — modified against his will to serve as the most powerful weapon in the arsenal of a ruthless puppet master bent on total domination.
Stripped of powers he never wanted but now desperately needs, Dryden finds himself caught in the middle of a war in which both sides — those he once sought to destroy as well as his former master who forced him to do so — see him as their most dangerous and hated adversary.
To prove his allegiance, Dryden’s only choice is to flee. It is a journey that will take him across a region where opposing sides seek to destroy one another wielding technologies introduced centuries before their time — supplied by a mysterious benefactor whose motivations remain unknown.
Can this lone Human, with the help of a pair of enigmatic Grey aliens, regain control of the same deadly weapons he once used to slaughter his own people in time to save them?

Author's Note: The books in the TFC series build upon one another and are best experienced in the order in which they were released. I recommend reading TFS Ingenuity, TFS Theseus, TFS Navajo, TFS Fugitive, and TFS Guardian before starting DFV Ethereal.

DFV ETHEREAL is the sixth book of the Terran Fleet Command Saga by author Tori Harris. The story is typically associated with the military science fiction, space exploration science fiction, colonization, first contact, genetic engineering, space opera technothriller, galactic empire, or alien invasion categories.
With those simple words, the Guardian spacecraft openly revealed itself to Humanity, heralding a new chapter in its 500-year-long mission to cultivate our world. Earth’s population must now make its first, planet-wide decision — join the most powerful alliance in our galaxy, or chart our own course — deciding for ourselves which civilizations are worthy of our trust. Will we be the first world to decline the Pelarans’ invitation, or does their offer come with an implied threat?
Aboard Terran Fleet Command’s flagship, TFS Navajo, Admiral Kevin Patterson assembles his formidable but untested forces in hopes of defending the Earth. Knowing that an attack is imminent, he must risk everything in hopes of finding his enemy and taking the initiative.
Returning from TFC’s first battle, Captain Tom Prescott learns that his frigate, TFS Ingenuity, is more heavily damaged than expected. Now he must race against time to prepare a new ship, then execute a daring mission to save Earth’s last and best hope of avoiding full-scale interstellar war.

TFS THESEUS is the second book of the Terran Fleet Command Saga by author Tori Harris. The story is typically associated with the military science fiction, space exploration science fiction, colonization, first contact, genetic engineering, space opera technothriller, galactic empire, or alien invasion categories.
Terran Fleet Command teeters on the edge of chaos in the aftermath of Chairwoman Crull’s removal from power, while in space, Earth’s defense falls squarely on the shoulders of Admiral Kevin Patterson. With only a small number of ships capable of bringing the fight to the enemy, he makes the bold decision to divide his forces, meeting the Resistance task force head-on at two separate locations.
Captain Tom Prescott and crew aboard the destroyer Theseus meet with initial success on the battlefield, only to be faced with the arrival of a warship completely out of her class – armed with weapons for which she is not prepared.
As the Resistance task force makes its final approach to Earth, a new ally warns of the horrors that will be visited on our homeworld if the coming attack succeeds. In the meantime, the enigmatic Guardian watches and waits, noncommittal as to its role as a protector or a mere observer.
Yet hope remains – as a friend of Humanity finally comes to grips with his destiny.

TFS NAVAJO is the third book of the Terran Fleet Command Saga by author Tori Harris. The story is typically associated with the military science fiction, space exploration science fiction, colonization, first contact, genetic engineering, space opera technothriller, galactic empire, or alien invasion categories.
For fifty years, Earth has received mysterious data transmissions from seemingly random locations in deep space. The streams include advanced technology, ultimately providing Humanity with the means to achieve faster-than-light travel. As we prepare to take our first, tentative steps into interstellar space, we know almost nothing about our alien benefactors, and their motivations remain unexplained.
As the first Terran Fleet Command starship, TFS Ingenuity, completes its shakedown cruise, Captain Tom Prescott and crew stumble into a first contact situation. They learn that Earth is not the first civilization granted access to the stars before their time – and how this Faustian gift has led countless other worlds into centuries of interstellar war.
Humanity’s existence soon hangs in the balance as a powerful alliance assembles a preemptive military strike, believing it to be their only option to protect themselves … from us. Prescott and his small, initially unarmed starship must serve as our only line of defense. Ingenuity is our only hope.

TFS INGENUITY is the first book of the Terran Fleet Command Saga by author Tori Harris. The story is typically associated with the military science fiction, space exploration science fiction, colonization, first contact, genetic engineering, space opera technothriller, galactic empire, or alien invasion categories.
At home, Humanity finally makes its decision regarding membership in the Pelaran Alliance. At the same time, the Guardian makes a decision of its own, calling the entire purpose behind its five-hundred-year mission into question.
On the far side of Sajeth Collective space, the newly formed Crowned Republic of Graca experiments with technology so revolutionary that it attracts the attention of a powerful new enemy. Responding to a call for help from Prince Rugali Naftur himself, the Leadership Council must decide if rescuing a few Wek scientists is worth the risk of yet another war, this time involving direct conflict with the Pelaran Alliance itself.
Piloting a single, largely untested ship, Captain Tom Prescott and crew are once again called upon for a special mission — a trip into the heart of an empire to complete an assignment that only the Guardian itself could have envisioned.

— A threat for which we are not prepared ...
— And "Grey" aliens who are not at all what we expected.
The enigmatic Greys have returned, bearing a host of stunning revelations regarding their role in Earth’s history, the Pelarans, and Humanity’s place in the cosmos.
The Pelaran Alliance has effectively disbanded, and Pelara itself is now dominated by the same world-shaping AI originally created to manage its own cultivation program. Armed with this new information, Terran Fleet Command must decide if coming to Pelara’s aid is worth risking a direct confrontation with the AI-controlled remnants of their once-mighty Alliance.
Griffin, openly declaring his allegiance to both TFC and the world he has helped to build, agrees to accompany the Grey ship Ethereal on a high-risk recruiting operation spanning thousands of light years. Their mission: enlist the help of enough Guardian spacecraft to put an end to the out-of-control, tyrannical AI before its forces can reach the Earth.
Captain Tom Prescott and the crew of TFS Fugitive, joined by allies both old and new, must reach Pelara and take the fight to the Alliance AI at the very center of its power. While in the Sol system, Admirals Patterson and Naftur fight a seemingly hopeless battle to save both Earth and Graca from certain destruction.
