Many bike components and accessories mounted on bikes, especially those threaded into aluminum or carbon fiber, need to be tightened to a specific torque range to avoid stripping threads and also avoid having something vibrate loose. This product takes the guess work out of it. There are a few other torque settings available in this same CDI brand t-handle wrench. If you can afford it, get one of each. The handles are color coded so if you can find a paint marker that matches the handle color (like the ones used to mark scuba equipment), you can make it easier to remember which wrench to use by putting a small dot on the bolt heads to identify which handle color torque wrench to grab. Then trailhead/parking-lot adjustments and accessory swaps go even more quickly.

I bought all 3 of these tools (4, 5 and 6 NM) and while I have not used them for an extended period of time they seem to perform as expected. Since I don't have the torque calibration gauge - I tried them sequentially on socket screws requiring 6NM - and they do release in order. While they are made in China - they seem well made and come with documentation that says they were calibrated, tested and inspected. Time will tell how they hold up compared to the much more expensive Utica torque screwdriver that I also use for higher torque settings.

I have this tool in the 4, 5, and 6 Nm renditions to work on my carbon fiber bike. I find them to be effective and easy to use...which is all you can ask of a tool. It may not be the most precise torque tool...but I'm okay with that.

Oh, and just so you know, all mine came with the torque rating stamped and printed on the handle.

I was very disappointed on this tool, the tool did not click at 5Nm, nor 6Nm, nor 7Nm, I almost broke the Ti bolt in my bike. I put the torque wrench on a table-vise and still would not click. That what I get for trying to save a few bucks.

I just bought a new carbon road bike frame, seat post and bars. This torque tool has been great for a making adjustments during the fitting process. I no longer worry about applying too much torque. I just turn until I hear the pleasant clicking sound signaling 5 Newton Meters. I carry the tool in my back pocket and make adjustments during my long rides. I prefer this over my heavy ratchet torque wrench. I have no complaints. It's easy to use, comfortable feel and is an overall great tool!

I had two of these wrenches. One from a bike shop and one from Amazon. One of the two has lasted for two years but the internal shaft on one sheared off after about a year of use. Both wrenches fit the palm well but interchanging bits is more difficult than another model of torque wrench I have. The bits tend to lock into this model and pliers are sometimes required to change them.

This is a handy sized piece of kit. It remains accurate after repeated use and deals with most of the vital allan screws in the modern alloy or carbon bike. A must have, from my point of view!

Awesome! Beats getting out the regular torque wrench and setting it too the required torque. Not only makes me want to use a torque wrench but actually succeeds in getting me to use one.
