If I have any premature failures on the drives I will update this review. Otherwise, it's a pretty nice drive for the price and it is working in my Synology NAS just fine. Recommended.
**==** UPDATE 12-11-2016 **==**
Under light use one of the four drives has already failed. I understand that hard drives will fail from time to time so that did not annoy me as much as having to pay to ship the drive back to Toshiba in order to get a refund. Shame on Toshiba for not picking up the shipping on a product that only lasted 4 months.
As for noise, uh, what? This drive is sitting no farther away than eighteen inches from my left ear, again, while undertaking a full write task, and I can't hear it over my two front-panel Noctua fans. I don't hear any clicking. No whining. Nothing but the gentle fan noise of my precious Austrian whirlybirds. It is, therefore, no louder than the 2 TB Barracuda atop which it is stacked, a drive I praised in my review for its quiet disposition.
Longevity is the one thing I cannot deny nor confirm with this review; I only just got the drive Saturday. If it fails, you best believe I'm gonna come back here and rake Toshiba over the coals for its failure.

If money is no object, get several 1-2TB Toshiba HDDs, buy several pairs and do backup and/or clone often. Whether your intended use use is gaming/OS or data/archival, if you've ever wasted any time recovering a corrupted/deleted drive/volume that isn't copied or backed up, having a cloned/archival drive for only $50-$60 is far more convenient and faster than uploading/downloading from clouds and loss of access when data-centers have issues.
If you have super bandwidth with 100% up-time, you probably don't remember a time of being without access to and enjoyment of your data for more than a week, still the case in many areas but if so, you remember the 20th century, when drivews were small and expensive, and clouds were still only fluffy white things moving overhead.
At the great Amazon price of $45 each; buy as many as you can, put them in USB docks, PCs, firewall-routers boxes, NAS etc. This is our write-up of this fine drive and some of the many ways you might choose to enjoy using them. We received no goodies, freebies or compensation for the review and hope it helps other Amazonians make sound purchasing decisions to protect and enjoy their data and computing.
Speed is good, for storage of movies and music its absolutely fine. Good write speeds on larger files.
Windows 10 does not see the drive when installed. What I did it disconnect all my other drives, used a windows 7 set up disk to partition and quick format the drive. Shut down and reconnected all the drives, changed boot order to correct drive with my OS. Started windows 10 and there is was no issues. Fdisk/Diskpart did not work. There are a lot of posts about the issue. It was a bit frustrating. Hope this saves some others the time.

For people having doubt what comes in package the hard disk was placed inside a high quality anti moisture packet, then it's placed inside a plastic case and the seller has wrapped it around with two thick foam sheets. So yeah the packaging was also nice. I have already seen the smart status and ran chkdsk command and everything is fine and working. I think it's a recommended hard disk only if you can take its full utilisation like in gaming or editing jobs.
This is also the most cost effective 7200rpm drive available at the time of purchase. If you find it in stock, go for it.
Packaging was good.
La velocidad es buena, pero en juegos muy demandantes como FFXV notaras ciertos bajones de framerate en lo que carga una seccion del mapa porque el HDD no es tan rapido para cargar las texturas, por supuesto que la solucion a todo esto es un SSD .
