We left our American chargers behind when we left Norway to come back to the states, so we purchased this to get our laptops through the trip, and this has done a good job. It's a basic laptop power cord, but we got the 12 foot for convenience as we already had a couple of 6 foot cords.

Altogether it does a solid job and seems to be put together well. I'd recommend it to anyone who needs a new cord. Good value.

i have been looking for a power cord of this configuration for some time in the length i need. Most of the "mickey mouse" head type power coprds are just a couple feet long. This was for my television and since i dont have a power outlet on the wall behind the tv, i wanted a long enough cord to reach all the way down behind the cabinet and to the wall without having to use an extension cord which would have been visible. in my efforts to have a cleaner look behind the TV, this cord is perfect.

Fits tight at first and works with HP charger

My charger was being fickle and when I messed with the power cord, that's when it would either charge or stop charging. So I figured I just needed to replace the power cord as opposed to the whole charger. I decided to go with this one because you can never have a charger that's too long. It worked. My charger has not been fickle since! Only issues I have is that it doesn't charge right away, which I attribute to the length of the cord. It just takes slightly longer for the electricity to reach the laptop, but my laptop still charges as fast as it usually does. Also, it fit tighter than the original power cord, but that might be because it's brand new. My charger seems fine so these minor issues must be normal.

Great item! For the love of all the gods why are all laptop power cord's not this long and well built? Who wants to sit against their wall tethered to it like a sad animal? This thing has allowed me to use my laptop everywhere in the room charging just as fast as it does with any "shot" cord but without the inconvenience. Heavy duty made (trust me I tested it by accidentally running it over with a vacuum a couple times) and plugs snugly into connector perfectly.
