Its CPU matches new macbook airs. It has 6GB of ram. It's really light and thin. It is almost as portable as a netbook, as powerful as a desktop and the screen makes it trump everything else when it comes to travel. I bought mine for $650 after lots of comparison shopping. Highly recommend.
*** 2014 March 14 Update: The above problem happened again. It seems if you let the battery drain down to "critical" and the laptop hibernates, something goes wrong and it won't "wake up" again, sometimes. The power button won't turn it back on. But I found a better solution. Charge the battery up (the lights on the front still will work and indicate charging (red) and full charge (green)). Once it's charged.Read more ›
Cons: short screen size makes it hard to view certain documents and websites; the screen has really terrible viewing angles and you can only see it if it is perfectly parallel to your face.
This was a decent laptop and I enjoyed using it for three weeks. Then it stopped working (would no longer power on). Dealing with Toshiba customer service has been frustrating as many of the representatives hang up randomly and their English is very difficult to understand. It will cost $25 to ship the laptop to their repair facility and I was warned that there is a chance my files will be wiped. Quite the annoyance for a laptop I bought just three weeks ago and only used lightly.
Great sound and great screen.
Only thing you need to keep this ultrabook very close to you to see.
It boils down to price, if you are looking for some extra screen space, bluetooth, lots of ports and 4-5 hours of life is ok with you, then this a great choice for $749. If you want higher resolution and better battery life you may need to shell out 200-400 more bucks for something else like the Asus u31 with a 1600x900 display and a few less ports.

The unit is all I expected it to be and Amazon is a great company to deal with. Wish it had a cd drive but I can use an external one and it works just fine.Published on April 13, 2014 by Joel F Larocque
