There are a number of seasons of "Total Drama" this being one. The concept of revenge of the Island is to take new players on to what has become a very polluted and remote camp and have them compete against each other first as teams than individuals. This is a comedic cartoon version of the TV series Survivor.

Chris McLean, our narcissistic (increasingly criminal) host, becomes progressively evil from season to season, and Chris doesn't disappoint in Revenge of the Island. His sidekick Chef Hatchet (usually referred to as Chef) is his often willing, but sometimes reluctant, partner in crime.

In this season, increasingly throughout the series interns are used as accidental and deliberate targets and misfires for stunts, and in at least one episode Chris experiences some of their revenge.

The characters are deliberately flawed, some are likable, some not. There are numerous not so secret revelations to the audience by the players that come from the camps gritty outhouse.

Over time, some players are mutated due to the camps being used as a toxic waste dump during Total Drama World Tour (the prior 2 seasons in this series). At least one old player, who wasn't likable, is introduced as a mutant, but still isn't that likable.

Each show has a different set of challenges the groups (or later individuals) must overcome. Players are voted off the island in Survivor style, but with a camp twist (watch the show to see). There is an immunity icon, that is hidden, but details must be found in the show.

This is suitable for most children and all teens and adults. For young kids that are afraid of parental separation, summer camps, the nasty side of being outdoors (poison ivy, wasp nests, bears, sharks and what not), or mutation, this is probably not a good choice. All experiences (except mutation) are reset, nobody is harmed, and there is no graphic violence similar to some first person shooter video games. Violence is mostly slapstick, one step up from Scooby Doo. Some of the mutations are helpful to the players, and enhance them. One player was a lot more enjoyable as a mutant, and was able to find a love interest.

Social interactions and background stories are weak. This is intended as a children's show, but adults may enjoy it as well.

I purchased the season pass to "Total Drama Revenge of the Island" because I won't pay for cable and I enjoy being able to watch the series instead of waiting for DVD release. I purchased the season pass on October 1st, knowing the series had ended and expecting to watch the entire series within a week's time. Apparently, this series has 13 episodes but Amazon only has 11 episodes up even though the official US season ended August 28, 2012. I contacted Amazon and spoke to a very helpful representative named Cassie, who informed me that Cartoon Network has not released the final two episodes on Amazon yet.

So, I go to Cartoon Network's website thinking that Cartoon Network may have episodes 12 and 13 for viewing on their website. Upon visiting the "Total Drama" section on their website, I am shown a loud, animated banner declaring the winner of "Revenge of the Island". I am now upset that I've paid for 11 episodes and that Cartoon Network has not released the rights to Amazon to watch the entire season which ended more than a month ago. I've contacted Cartoon Network on the matter explaining my frustration, however, unlike Amazon, they do not list a phone number on their "Contact Us" section. Something else that boggles me is that Youtube has the entire collection available as a pay-per-episode series, so why not Amazon?

At the end of the day, it's behavior like this that completely hose off the loyal customers who support TV series by watching them on pay-per-episode sites such as Amazon. Very upset and I will now no longer purchase any other Cartoon Network licensed shows from Amazon.

Cameron wins in this episode so if you prefer watching the real actual ending where Lightning wins the finale like he does in the United States then don't purchase this episode if you truly don't want to. But if you are Canadian then this episode is perfect because Cameron won there
