This review will have some spoilers!!!
In the first story, Tudor is an out-and-proud man, forced to have to deal with his obnoxious coworker Radu making homophobic and insensitive comments while on a business trip to New York. He meets up with "Phantom" on Grindr, and they have a whirlwind weekend affair. This story is not explicit at all, since it discusses them kissing and then basically fades to black.
In the second story, Tudor and Radu have become unlikely friends, and Radu is encouraging Tudor to put himself out there again after his previous relationship failed. They have to go on another business trip to Hawaii, where Tudor encounters a charming and persistent bartender named Kahoni that has a much more relaxed approach to life than Tudor, which seems to be good for him. Their chemistry is hot, but all that happens in this book is some kissing.
The third story is still about Tudor and Kahoni, which made me happy, since I thought they were cute together. Their relationship is progressing, and Tudor discovers that Kahoni has a kinky side. There's actually a sex scene in this story that was well-done, and a happy ending.
The fourth story switches to Radu's perspective, who is starting to realize that he might be gay himself. It's nice to see things from his point of view, and to realize to some extent why he was as obnoxious as he was at first. He has a crush on a guy he's met at a club, and he is amusingly awkward as he tries to navigate a world that is completely new to him.
Overall, this is worth a read, and I wouldn't mind reading more from this author. The interactions between characters felt authentic, and the characters weren't one-dimensional and showed growth over time.
Just like in life, there’s a bit of everything in Touches – fun, anxiety, friendship, kink 😉 and above all – lots of love. Between the stress of corporate environment (so well described that even those who never were in such would feel it perfectly), the travelling to intriguing places, Tudor’s discoveries of different kinds of love and Radu’s shenanigans, there’s not a minute of boredom.
Comments on life and love are rife, and smartly incorporated into the whole so you don’t get the feeling that you just read the same old formulaic romance but something a lot worthier.
The structure of the book is quite appealing. Different stories following the same heroes show the best highlights of their life, without the unnecessary ‘fillers’, giving us the chance to get to know them, understand them, and love them. I still hope that Alina might revisit them all at some point.
It’s definitely a great ride!

The first story seemed a bit disconnected to the remaining three, it took place during Tudor and Radu's trip to New York. Radu was rude & obnoxious in this story and didn't get on with Tudor, this story focused more on Tudor exploring New York and meeting his Phantom.
The remaining three stories involved Radu more as he and Tudor are now friends.
The middle two stories focus on Tudor and cover his relationship with Kahoni and the struggle that is a long distance relationship.
The last story focuses on Radu as he finally gets a chance to pursue Marius.
It was a sweet read, the sex was off page for the first two stories and wasn't very explicit in the last two. I liked the characters, even Radu grew on me and I really didn't like him in the first story but I was happy he got a chance to go after his guy.
I found the flow of the story a little bit jerky and it drew me out of the book a few times but overall I enjoyed it.
