Plus her descriptions and detail are amazing. Love Isaiah & Fallon!!
There is NEVER a dull moment in this story. There's an I-hope-it-becomes-a-love-triangle-but-not-really kind of thing going on. There's also a lot of action and people being deceived. Don't even get me started on the amount of plot twists being thrown our way. I didn't know up from down half the time in this book. It was SO refreshing C:
Fallon still doesn't have all the solutions to her problems. Heck, she's a teenager. She's supposed to be insecure and dreaming about Isaiah *wink wink*. Add in her would-be-friend of a dad and Isaiah's faith in the guy and something smells fishy. There were so much revelations in this book. I can't comment on them because it would give a lot away. So I'll just say: It was AWESOME and leave it at that.
Isaiah was Isaiah. He was caring, sweet and believed in her the entire way. Because Fallon doesn't know what to do and keeps taking other people's help, she gets in a lot of trouble and, consequently, Isaiah usually takes to brunt of the attack and Fallon goes half crazy (literally. Read the book. You'll understand why C:).
Archer was crazy cute with his one liner's! He's the this-should-be-a-love-triangle-but-I'm-on-the-fence-with-my-feelings guy. When he enters the story you know her dad is up to something and that Archer is CLEARLY involved. You just don't know what for sure. He was still an awesome character and I hope to see him in future novels.Read more ›
I have a frustrated love with this book. I loved that it was different then a lot of the paranormal books I've been reading and there is lots of action. That being said Fallon annoyed me she seemed whiny, which is understandable to an extent she seemed week, which is realistic in a sense, however I know it is building up to one day her being bad a$$. Still, there where a lot of times when I wanted to say "Shut-up"! Yes, very unreasonable of me, I know.
I was annoyed when I felt we would finally get answers then it was a big "NOPE" just kidding, moment. It seemed to drag until things started to unfold, I understand they mystery, and things needed to unfold in due time, but don't tease me with things like "Fallon, I'll tell you everything", and then "I can't tell you at this time" etc.. not verbatim, but you get the hint.
I'm also still confused about: [ I she Amelia or is she not? What's with the Isaiah in the limbo world? I'm confused on the whole DNA soul mate, past life thing.
Anyway, I will totally read the next book, cause I so want to finally see Fallon kick some butt.
But through it all Fallon and Isaiah's love is solid. Then we met Archer... I loved him! I'm sarcastic by nature and we could totally be friends. A handsome looking friend. We get the usual readers adrenaline rush from start to finish, OK I lied because I was crushed that there was a cliffhanger. But that just means Touching Embers will be that much more worth it.
Pick up the first one and start Fallon's journey then grab this copy and see what you have been missing Airicka has never disappointed in giving her readers something to look like a zombie after reading it. Yeah you'll stay up half the night reading well pass your bead time. So go charge your e-reader and Happy reading!

I love the continuation of Fallon's story. The love between her and Isaiah is tested and grows. He's completely devoted but Fallon, bless her heart, has some growing up to do. Read morePublished on May 14, 2014 by JANA GUNDY
