About the Author
Amazon bestselling author Janina Rossiter loves three things: design, France and her little family.
She studied communication & illustration design at university, and haslived in Germany (her home country), England (where she met herhusband), and now France (where she vows to stay). After graduating with a degree from university she worked as a packaging designer for a fewyears before setting off on her own and expanding into freelance design. She enjoys the creative energy of Paris, where she lives with herEnglish husband and her two daughters.
With the arrival ofher first daughter, Janina's love for painting and drawing found a newlease on life and, before long, she combined her passion forillustration with the wonderfully inspiring world of children. Afterthat, it was simply a matter of time before Tovi the Penguin was born... .

The author, Janina Rossiter, has written such a fun story about Tovi the penguin. Tovi and his friends were going away for Christmas. They went to a little house in the woods. They got there just before it started snowing heavily. They went inside, decorated the house and their tree, and had a lovely evening. They all were snug in bed waiting for Santa to come. In the morning, they awoke to find no presents. When they went outside, they found so much snow that maybe Santa could not find them. They busied themselves with having fun and making a delicious dinner. They had such a good time that no one remembered Santa had not come. The next morning it was time to go home, and when they got home they found a big surprise. When you read this book you will discover what they found.
Parents/teachers will enjoy reading this book to their children. The children will have such a good time listening to everything that the Penguins did. They will be able to discuss all the lessons learned. The illustrations are vibrant, colorful and vivid. They depict the adventures of the Penguins. A wonderful story for Christmas.

Excellent way to teach children the real meaning of Christmas; it's not about the presents and material things. Book is short and simple with large bright illustrations appropriate for the toddler and preschool audience.
Children's colorful book about Tovi the penguin and they are all going on a holiday.
They wake up to find Santa was not able to find them so there are no presents, not even in their stockings.
They are still able to enjoy the day with a nice dinner and the whole family singing. When they go back in to pack to leave they find a surprise!
The penguins discover on Xmas morning that Santa hasn't delivered any presents! Rather than dissolve into blubbering and inertia, they press on and make a joyous dinner, and play games and have a good old time. When they arrive home, they discover that Santa has indeed paid them a visit - he just didn't know they were away from home. Not only did they have a great time, now they get to open presents. I found this to be a fun story, and with an important message, which is why I'm rating this one a worthy read.

Tovi is a most happy and pleasant character, one that preschool children and first-graders will relate with.
