I really like this product. It does a great job at mixing and is completely non-stick and heat resistant.Unfortunately, after six months of normal use and cleaning (dishwasher, hand wash and sponge), the plastic bit has started to chip and flake.

I'm a big fan of silicone. I also like wooden kitchen spoons. But these look better and don't stain (thats why I purchased the black and charcoal ones) and I like the flexibility for scraping out pots.
I also love that the ladle and spoon in this set look nice enough as serving implements for guests. Love using them on my ceramic pans and my Staub cast iron cookware. I have had some of these Tovolo implements for a few months now with heavy use and haven't had an issue. They are holding up well and can be thrown in the dishwasher. I have purchased multiples of some items so I wouldn't have to make do while they are in the dishwasher - I use them that much.
Online I was only able to find the charcoal ones, but Crate and Barrel has these exact tools in black. I prefer the black but the charcoal is nice too, and now have some of each.

Y'all. I make scrambled eggs a lot. I'm spatula picky- I dont like too much of the spatula to be overly bendy. I like for the flexibility to help keep any eggs from sticking to the curves of the pan on the side but it also needs to be stiff enough to scrape the bottom of the pan. I had a spatula I loved with a wooden handle and my 2 year old managed to snap it in half while playing with it so I searched high and low and took a chance on this one. It's the perfect spatula. And I'll be impressed if my toddler ever manages to destroy it!

I purchased this because it had a metal handle and I've cracked 2 spatula handles in the past 2 years (on side of bowl). This spatula seems very sturdy and like it would hold up (certainly no broken handle). Says it is heat safe to 600 degrees, made in China. However it is just heavier, longer and more spatula than I need (single person with small pots and bowls). I returned this (and hope I don't regret it down the line).

I would like to add that the head of the spatula DOES come off. I came back to buy the jar scraper and spoonula and noticed people complaining about the tag being stuck between the head of the spatula and the handle, you have to pull a little harder than you'd expect but it pops off and on in a strait forward manner.

After breaking my favourite silicone spatula,just where the metal rod ended. (Stirring bread mix). When this turned up I thought it was too long. If I mixed in kitchen sink ,it was better. Hard work mixing bread. Okay for butter cream, scrambled egg. Cutting ,dividing, emptying. Cake mixes. This is Excalibur of the kitchen. It weighs 126grams whereas a silicone spoon type spatula weighs 70 grams.(useless piece of information).
Think I will have a job to break this one.

Heavier than it may seem. The handle is made of thick stainless steel and brings a lot of heft to the spatula. I've read many reviews saying the silicone head starts to wear and disintegrates. I've only been using this in frequently over a two week period and it has held up fine so far, but I have not used it over high heat in my carbon steel pan. It has been relegated to lower heat duties such as scrambled eggs in a stainless steel saucepan, or mixing bowl duties. Hopefully it holds up, given how expensive it is, but I think I would go with a lighter option next time around.
