    …especially since the presumed publisher denies that it was ever published in English.

    I tried to locate a copy on Amazon (many sites) and also Powell's Books and Abe Books.
    no copies available, which is most unusual
    So I contacted the publisher: and I got this reply (names deleted):

    "Dear -----,

    Thanks for writing.

    I regret to have to inform you that the book you are searching for is not available from Vertical. Unfortunately, Mr. Abe's book while briefly listed
    was never published by Vertical and was quickly removed from our listings years ago. I do not believe it has never been translated into English, either.
